    Hello all,

I just installed the above-mentioned mod yesterday to check out the items, and it seems to me that most of them are incredibly powerful in some manner or another.

I understand that those items are representative of what you can find in IWD2, where there is a HoF mode that makes fights very, very much tougher, but it seems to me that unless you have some difficulty-enhancing mods installed for BG2/ToB, these items are seriously overkill.

It's truly scary to imagine what damage that Massive Greataxe of Flame can do with a GWW.

    Please share your thoughts.

Keep in mind that Weimer designed most of his mods on the assumption that Tactics would be installed. Most of his stuff (Item Upgrade, Valen, and Shapeshifter Rebalancing) is considered overpowered in the base game because of this.

Yep. As CamDawg said, Weimer's mods are designed to be used together. Tactics naturally makes items less overpowered.

Incidentally, when I tried it, I found that at least a couple of weapons weren't striking at their enchantment level (eg. not breaching Mantle). I don't know if it was a bug or an older version of the mod. Something to bear in mind.

Since I don't have any difficulty-enhancing mods installed for now, I think I'll uninstall that item mod for now.

Decados: thanks, that's good to know.
