My main one, chess, I'm now starting to beat 2000 players frequently. Woohoo!

Scrabble, or Monopoly, when I'm visiting with family.

[IMG] Used to play Mastermind with my mother (The one where you have to figure out the code of five coloured beads out of a selection of eight colours) but her colourblindness really did intrude on the experience...

Sometimes will play scrabble or chess, but not frequently. I'm probably below average in terms of skill.

Ermmm... whatever is available, usually. I'm often meeting with some friends on Sunday to play boardgames - so far the favourite is Dirk Henn's Shogun, with the Munchkin card game coming soon after. We've played Navegador, Stone Age, Vinhos, Fresco, Thief of Baghdad, and a few others.

I used to play chess a bit, but gave up on that. I should play either that or bridge a bit more :) .

Ladies and gentlemen, although we have no plaque for this, I nominate BTA as our first Geek of the Week!

(I'm fairly confident, but not 100%, that I mean that in a good way. :p )

Yay! I'd like to thank my parents for giving in to my whining to buy the first computer I ever used: The Apple IIe. Without such encouragement, I wouldn't be the person (or geek) I am today!

I like chess but rarely get a chance to play it. I don't like playing against the computer.

My wife likes to play "Settlers of Cataan", and it can be fun.

The game we really play, though, is not a board game at all, but rather a version of Canasta called "Hand and Foot" -- my wife taught it to me and some of our friends and we really like it. It's a nice blend of luck and skill.

I went to a friend's house last year and played a game called "Last Night on Earth", a zombie attack board game with some minor RPG elements. I want a copy of my own, because it was just freaking awesome!

Well, seeing as how I have a 3-year old, the only board games I've played in the last two years are the ones he likes - Chutes and Ladders and Break the Ice.

Now I've probably played just about every board game listed here at least once or twice in my life, and I remember being particularly into Axis and Allies when I was in high school.

Pandemic, is the only one I play with any regularity these days.

Also making the occasional appearance are games like Apple to Apple, or Taboo.
