Currently, I'd have to say "She Sells Sanctuary" by the Cult.

    Nippers...

"Cocaine" is by Eric Clapton (she don't lie)

Clapton is one of the finest guitarists of the rock and roll era...check out his work with Cream, Derek and the Domnino's and of course, solo.

Jackson Browne is best known for "The Loadout/Stay", "Running on Empty" and the "Pretender"

"Sundown" was indeed by Gordon Lightfoot, who is really a folk baladeer. If you want to see some true lyricism, check out his "Wreck of the Edmund Firzgerald".

    Golly, I feel old.

Keep listening to "dino rock", and you'll hear things that will amaze you.

A Whiter Shade of Pale, by Procol Harum.

And 'Cocaine' is originally from J.J. Cale, but I guess the song is best known from Eric Clapton. The same goes for 'After Midnight', which is also a Cale song covered by Clapton.

    @ Sleepless

I think the "Dolphin" song you are talking about is Phillip Glass - Heroes (Aphex Twin remix) or it might just be Phillip Glass's original take.
Vocals originaly done by David Bowie of course.

@ DHB and HS - Gordon Lightfoot is one of our Canadian folk legends. In addition to the songs mentioned, he has many others - Early Morning Rain, Black Day In July, Canadian Railroad Trilogy - the list goes on and on. :)

[IMG] I think it was a different Cocaine song...

    "You take Sally...
    I'll take Sue...
aint no difference between the two...
    Cocaine...running all round my brain.

    Heading up South...
    Turning down main...
lookin for that girl who sells cocaine...
    Cocaine...running all round my brain...

This is more of a funny song than Eric Claptons.

Honestly never heard of Gordon Lightfoot or knew who sang the "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" I do like the soulfullness of his voice. ;)
