Is it me or aren't there any good gamesites out there? (except for SP naturally :) )

I used to visit gamespot but that's all commerce lately.

What I want is a site with up to date news just about PC games, every genre.

Gamespot has gotten really lame since they became a pay site. Most of the stuff I actually want to look at, I'd have to pay to view.

Any AD&D game I can find here, but for the rest, the only thing I found that came close was IGN (www.ign.com). They cover a fair amount of games, but nothing really in depth. It's better than nothing.

Try GameSpy. It has quite a bit of commercialism, but you don't need to pay to see anything. They have special branches for different games, like PlanetQuake and PlanetUnreal, and for different genres, like RPGPlanet and 3DActionPlanet. My personal favourite section is PlanetFargo. It's a humour column focussing on everything gaming.

    gamesdomain.com

My favorite part about their site is that they have a huge review archive... great for looking up some budget games. :D
