I think new games all store their save games and player data somewhere in the user own's directory. (So that's C:/Documents and Settings/Username/ I think.)

    Edit:
Oh wait. Didn't see that we're talking about IWD.
Go to IWD's main folder and click on the button titled "Compatibility (something)" in the top right of the window. I think the save games are stored there.

If you have UAC turned on you may have to check the following directory path for the save games: C:bad:Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\

Some of those directories are hidden, by the way.

ya, i found them in the "virtualstore" folder. didn't realize that windows 7 had that feature. it was one of the things that @!$$$& me off in Windows vista(except in vista almost all game save files where there along with a lot of there more important game files) made editing and modding games a nightmare.

    Thanks Marceror

You're welcome. As mentioned, this is a product of UAC (User Access Control) and you can turn it off in your control panel under user accounts if it's causing you grief.
