I'm having real difficulty with the white dragon. This is the second time through the game, and for some reason I can't kill this thing this time (I'm a wizard, level 13). The first time I had no difficulty whatsoever---in fact it was a minor battle. I've been at this for many hours...grrrrr. I just recently got him to the "Near Death" point, but that's it. I don't have the greater sword belt or the dragon boots this time, but I still shouldn't be having this kind of trouble. Can anyone help please?

I heard there was some way of repairing the amulet of ages by talking to one of the dryads and one of the dwarves. This apparently weakens the dragon.

I'm afraid I haven't tried this and I didn't use dragon slippers or the belt either but then I was a fighter who are always simpler to play as.

Go in in the the Snow Globe with the Dwarfs being good and the Dryads bad and enter the cave, grab the amulet and leave. Talk to Hodd. He will repair the Amulet of the Ages when he sees it. Now exit the snow globe, rotate it, and enter it again. Go speak to Arwyl, who will reenchant the Amulet of the Ages. Walk in the cave with the Amulet and the Dragon should be weakened.

Thanks to www.Gamespot.com for this strategy.

Abyssal---Thanks very much! I saw the "turning" option for the globe but ignored it, not realizing that the dwarfs and dryads change orientations. This helps alot..

It worked quite well. Battle took all of about 10 seconds. He reached the heavy damage stage almost immediately. What a difference! Although the last time through I killed him outright, without turning the globe, and it didn't take very long then either---must have been those dragon slippers!
