[IMG] Whenever my cleric gets petrified or imprisoned and I fix him up and invite him back to the party, he gets another Holy Symbol (he's currently Lvl 36 and growing). Well he has 3 Holy Symbols of Lathander now because the game doesn't seem to realize it's already given him one (Clerics gain a Holy Symbol at Lvl 25). The Holy symbol of Lathander does the following (it's worn in the ring slot):
    - +1 Strength
    - +5% Magic Resistance
    - One extra 6th and 7th level spell slot

Now wearing both Holy Symobls is cumulative, so you can gain 2 extra spell slots, etc.-not bad for an exploit :D But I feel guilty doing that so I've shoved my extra ones aside into one of my Bags of Holding and put on another ring.
I was wondering, anyone else playing a priest of Helm or Talos and what effect do those Holy symbols have on the cleric? The same effect as the Holy Symbol of Lathander or different?

[IMG] Holy symbols are nice, but.....

Viconia got her holy symbol of Talos, and all was fine. However, as I was romancing her,and with my main char being chaotic good and all, after picking certain dialogue options she (SPOILER) changed alignment . Although this is good as she wont quit when my rep is 20, I can't use her holy symbol :(.

Big B - sorry that I wasn't here to defend the mighty Cleric!

Honestly, I don't have too much time to play BG2, and am not even into TOB yet! :(

I think that I'm a higher level cleric in real life than I am in the game! (Of course, I don't have too many spells . . .)

Dude, do you know how much a Holy Symbol is worth. MONEY IS OF THE IMPORTANCE. I WANT MONEY!! If its worth >1000 gp its worth the stone to flesh, flesh to stone spells. ehehehe

I know how much they're worth, but I didn't worry about selling them. Let me tell you at one time I got up to 400,000 Gold Pieces, I completed the game around 300,000 Gold Pieces. I didn't need to sell my excess Holy Symbols. I retired from adventuring very wealthy.

I'm with you. By the end of each game, money was a joke. There is so much stuff to sell, and once you get the bag of holding, you can really clean up.
