The only gaelic I now is from Runrig lyrics;), and I know certain songs by heart, like 'Chi Mi'n Geamradh'. I have an uncle who's girlfriend studied gaelic though, she's from the Orkney Is.
I do love Runrig a lot, though sometimes I start to have doubts: I've heard similar music being described as 'middle-class nationalistic bombast', which points out that my scottish pride can be a source of the same nationalistic fervour that I so despise in Americans. And I'd hate to be a hypocrite:o, so I listen to Runrig with moderation now. Not to mention, Runrig was most popular 25 years ago, and I actually heard of them from my mom. Now that she's playing it constantly every time I visit, it is starting to get annoying:mad:. But they're a great band; you should check out some youtube videos, and google the lyrics. Just don't hope to understand the spelling and pronunciation of this medieval language:lol:.
