Edwina was twitching (and freezing/floating) despite having a stable HP total...odd. Maybe it wasn't Imoen who was affected by the Ring of Gaxx? I don't remember. I did have a similar problem with Imoen (twitchiness) but I don't recall the details.

Oh, yeah; it doesn't actually matter whether or not the HP value changes - every time something attempts to change it, you get the bug. Being changed into a drow also counts as being polymorphed, maybe you've noticed it then too.

Here are some oddities I've noticed. They're not really bugs, and they appear in "default" BG2/ToB; they aren't caused by mods. Still, I find them ... odd.

    1. Party NPCs give vocal interjections that show their happiness or displeasure with how things are going based upon their alignment in comparison to the party's Reputation. Strangely, Neutral-aligned characters are *never* considered happy. This is clearly an oversight because Bioware did actually record 'happy' interjections for neutral characters. But you need to manually edit the happy.2da file to make it possible for Neutral characters to say their lines.

    2. The town dawn/dusk minimovies are clearly based on artist sketches of Trademeet, not Athkatla.

    3. If, like me, you prefer fighting Cowled Wizards rather than paying them for the privilege of casting magic outdoors in Athkatla, you'll eventually meet some of the "highest members of the order". This fight is the final one; winning it means you are never bothered by the Cowled Wizards again. One of their number is called Kollonyus Pac (or something similar) and she is pretty tough (Time Stop, etc). She is the same mage that you can hire via Ribald to send the Solamnic Knights home (if you are doing the mage stronghold). Curiously, even if you slay her in the streets as part of your "I'll cast any damn magic I please you interferring pricks" campaign, she'll still turn up to send the Knights home, and appears to have no recollection of the earlier encounter (perhaps she is too embarrassed?).

Sorry to kick such a relatively old topic, but I encountered a rather funny bug/quirk. I did the Twisted Rune thing, and got the Staff of the Magi. Since I have no magic users in my party (an all half-orc party consisting of a Kensai, Barbarian, F/C and a F/T, who are none too keen on magic users) I decided to give away the SotM to Imoen. I had enough money anyway, and usually the shop gives poor money for value on such items.

So I gave the SotM to Imoen and promptly booted her out of my party. She went invisible as per the SotM's ability. However, I can't make her visible anymore. It would seem that True Sight doesn't work on neutral NPCs. Of course this isn't the bug/quirk. No, the fun starts when I reload a saved game. Whenever I do that, I get the message 'Imoen - Protected from Evil'. Like she's following me around all the time. This even persists into ToB. Apparently she can even follow me into hell, or something like that.
