    My most unfavorite saying:

"But we have always done it this way."

So said the caveman when his mate suggested a different way.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
"We find the defendant guilty as charged."

    From Daniel Boone:

I was never lost, but I was once bewildered for three days.

That's not exact, but it's close...

The pen is mightier than the sword.
But action speaks louder than words.

    Haste makes waste.
But he who hesitates is lost.

    Practice makes perfect.
    But nobody's perfect.

    Who are you again?
When did I tell you the first time? :p

How do I explain this to you...
    With words, retard.

    Early bird gets the worm.
The late cat gets the early bird while it's sleeping off its meal.

    Solutions for nior's quandaries...
    Stab someone with a pen.
Decide on a course of action immediately and then do it very very slowly. (Bush and Iraq, anyone? ;) )
    Nobody practices.

    EDIT:
These are courtesy of Jeff Foxworthy and the "Blue Collar TV" show.

There's more than one way to skin a cat.
But I can assure you the cat's not going to like any of them.

There's nothing to fear but fear itself.
Great, now I'm scared of fear too. :mommy:

Who on earth would want to skin a cat? Cat-hide belts aren't exactly all the rage, or cat-fur coats, for that matter.

    "I stand corrected."
Gee, you need not stand, you will be corrected in any position.
