yeah, i remember it being cloven in half so that it would "sound no more". I thought it would be given special attention to, but it wasn't. btw, it was an overall great movie. a lot of details varied but only around 3 major changes were implemented right? 1) Arwen getting Glorfindel's job at the river. 2) Aragorn finding Frodo and letting him go at the end and 3) Boromir dying. That happens in book 2 right?

I'm not sure if the Departure of Boromir is the last part of the Fellowship of the Ring or the first part of The Two Towers. You named some big changes of the movie compared with the book. There are also many small things that are changed.. and another big thing... no Tom Bombadil.. and that was a pity.

He actually gets whacked at the very end of FoTR, and dies in the very beginning of TTT. But I understand why they finished him off in this movie. They couldn't make a cliffhanger like that last an entire year.

I've read through most of the three books now. There's a *whole* bunch of changes. But hey! Movies ain't books, and books ain't movies. I thought LotR was a damn fine movie compared to the others that have been out lately. LotR is worth seeing at least a second time.

Granted, I was glad when Sean Bean finally shut up and just *died*.

I can't understand what is so wrong with Boromir! Sean portrayed Boromir magnificently and his acting was fantastic. His costume was great (I know that his costume was not his idea, but...) his facial expresions coincided with what was going on, as opposed to Arwen's overly fake sobs when Frodo falls from her horse. I personally thought his performance was great.

One of my favorite scenes from the movie was where Boromir was teaching Merry and Pippin how to fight and accidently wacks one of them.

Sean Bean. The movies answer to 'Kenny' from south park.
Hmmmm, If they ever make *shudder* a new south park movie, maybe Sean could star as kenny...
    *wanders off laughing evily*
