Bush is pushing a war agenda to cover up a bad economy? What bad economy?

Darkwolf, you are not a cynic. Were you a cynic, you would not only believe that Demo(crooks?) are against the war because they fear the next election, but you would also believe that Bush only wants to go to war for oil or some similarly ridiculous thing. What you are is prejudiced (justly or not) against the Democratic Party. At least, you posts over the last week or so most definitely seem that way.

Now, I can't say that I blame you. I was, up until six months or so ago, the same way about Republicans, and I still struggle with the tendency to demonize them in my own mind. But hey, at least I'm better than my mother, who told me a week and a half ago that she believes the majority of Republicans are racist. Yeah. Right.

Ok, I'm rambling now, but my point is this; deciding that the other party is a bunch of idiots, war-mongers, hippies, Socialists, Fascists, racists, or whatever, is not good. See, it tends to make people much less open to suggestions from the other party, which really screws up compromise. Compromise is how this nation should be run, as liberals and conservatives seem to have more or less equal numbers. A few million more, a few million less, the numbers vary but do not fluctuate hugely. It's kinda like an S curve. Go coalition government!
