Definitely is the same game. The Ogg quest was optional though, so you may have skipped it (or you may just be faaaaaaaar more clever than I am and figured it out in minutes :) )

The ciphers were easy to solve, though I found it annoying that they used them in MM2 again (and the cryptogram at the end of that game was one of the most anti-climatic end sequences I've seen). The Dragon fight was fun - I only managed to beat that after extensive preparation and liberal use of potions and magic items. There was another very tough Demon/Devil fight under one of the towns, but come to think of it the Dragon fight might also have included demons or devils (or both). Good times.

And since Blog brought up Ultima Underworld... the first one is that game that taught me English. I was 12 or 13 at the time, knew absolutely no English whatsoever, and I was so impressed with the game that I started learning the language just so I could understand what was going on. It's still one of my all-time favourite games, though that may be in part due to nostalgia.

M&M3 was great fun, and was the first M&M game I played. It's one of my favourite entries in the series, alongside MM5 and MM6. MM5's puzzles were faaaaaar too easy though, and the answers to all of them were usually not far from the puzzle itself, which was a disappointment.

I love solving puzzles or riddles if they play fair. I worked out the age of the princess in BGII and felt very proud when I got it correct. :)

In this day and age of the Internet it would be easy to just post "Answers to puzzles in Game XYZ" and people could check out what they needed.

Return to Krondor had a very hard puzzle door you had to open but if you searched around in the big room where the door was you found a paper with the solution.

Anyone tried out the remake of Ultima 5 yet? Ultima 5 Lazarus, its called. Gave me BG2 vibes right away. Finding NPC`s to join, party bantering, and so on. Great graphics too. I suspect the puzzles in the game can be abit hard though. Having a great time playing it. Highly recomended.

Your post reminded I've wanted to try Lazarus for a while now. I've just downloaded it and need to go fish for a copy of Dungeon Siege now. Should be pretty easy to find (and pretty cheap, I hope)

Just remember to patch it before installing lazarus. And turn up your resolution. Or else you can`t continue past the char creation screen. The "continue" button apears somewhere off screen hehe.
