Yes but use it on your main Character and change the portrait and you could have some very strange results...

    Listen Up:

Incest is NOT OK. Disregarding the relationship between the two participants, it is unfair to the child who might be born as a result. The chance he/she may be malformed, etc. is very great.

    SlimShogun,

No one is arguing that incest is a good thing in the real world. What is being discussed is a relationship between two people whose putative common ancestor is a god. Do gods have recessive genes? Is there really any biological component at all? After all, you can dump your whole ancestral 'taint' at the end of ToB anyway.

It is quite clear from real world records that incest between divine beings is not considered unacceptable or problematic. The Greeks, Egyptians, Incans, and Hawaiians all allowed (or encouraged) incestuous relationships in the case of gods and divine kings, as did others.

Finally, you should get your facts straight before mouthing off. The chance of the child being malformed is not "very great". It is, in fact, very small in nearly all cases. Yes, the chance of the child having a congenital problem stemming from recessive gene matches is significantly higher in cases of incest. But it is still *very* small in 'one off' incest cases.

Where incest is a significant danger genetically is when such practices are recurrent within a bloodline. As multiple generations breed within a restricted genetic pool, the odds of meaningful genetic problems increase dramatically. Though even then, few of the possible conditions result in physical or mental deformity.

"one off" as in "not part of a larger pattern". By which, I mean an individual case of incest, not part of a greater pattern of inbreeding in a lineage, is not a great risk. While somewhat more likely to match unhealthy recessives than a random pairing, the risk is still minimal. Only when you have repeated cases of inbreeding within a given lineage do the risks become significant.

Agreed. But there is a higher risk of birth defects with any case of inbreeding.
