    Hope she brought her own crossbow along. There is not a single crossbow in the game bards can use. :D

    Your dwarf seems to have gotten a pretty weak roll compared to your other characters' hard to get rolls.
    The paladin and the R/C have more strength and seem to be better combatants even without using spells.

    Beg to differ, kmonster. I found a nice one called a finest light crossbow in the Vale of Shadows. Bards *can* use both heavy and light crossbows.

    Most magic crossbows are random treasures. The repeating crossbows are great if you get them.

    There are two magic crossbows always available if you have HoW installed (Daisy is pretty good, Conlan has it).

    @kmonster:
    Bards can use just about anything (axes, greatswords, and composite long bows being the only exceptions, IIRC). And for the moment she'll mostly be singing or casting spells.

    BTW, WTF is the deal with finding two second-level scrolls early and no first-level? Spelly's third level now and has no spells to cast! :mad:

    Strange. My bard used a composite long bow during the game and none of the crossbows I found had "useable by bards" in its description.

    I played with the latest TotL version installed, maybe they changed it somehow.

    It's been a while, but as I recall, I had to buy most of the scrolls to get the spells I wanted; you don't just "find" very many.

    Well, I just got to Kuldahar, so I should be getting at least an MM pretty soon.

    I just saw that you were starting IWD Felinoid.
    Good Luck with your game!

    I would consider downloading the walktrough I have.
    It gives you all the random item possibilies at each area. When I get a rotten item I throw it away and Dale Keeper in the item I want. I hate the random item thing in IWD. You can miss out on the best stuff this way unlike with BG.

    That comes a little late unfortunately. I'm not doing any more until this gets explained.
