Let's calm down about paedophilia

    Paedophilia also makes an excellent general spittoon. I mean, there's hardly anyone that can come up with reasonable arguments for it, so bashing it in hard tone is unanimously always politically correct.

    But that's not what the discussion is about. It's about what, exactly, should be considered paedophilia. Just because someone plays the "that's paedophilia!" card doesn't automatically make it so.

    As horrible as an actual act of paedophilia is, there's nothing to be gained by labeling anything that might make a sick, twisted mind even think about it as paedophilia. That's just muddying up the waters and prone to causing reactions to the opposite direction.

    For example, the picture of the underaged relative in a swimming suit might as well be paedophilia according to laws in some countries, but IMHO it's the law that's f***ed up, not the person owning such a picture. So in a way, yes, I'm for paedophilia in the face of law. So come and sue me. :nuts:
