Even though they're not that useful for Monks, I think it sucks that they can't use a quarterstaff.

Yeah, I agree that playing with monks can be boring, and this proves we are not lawful in alignment as monks do :)

But his fighting style and avatar is great, fun to watch! In IWD2 monk uses a fighter avatar who only punches, punches and punches again to he point of boredom. But here, monk avatar is entirely different and uses some neat styles while fighting bare-handed. (or footed?) :)

Yeah I agree that playing as a monk is a little boring. I suppose that this is a little silly but personally I think it would have been much more fun if they had included a special set of monk combat sounds where the monk would scream the name of his different moves like they do in all of those poorly dubbed Kung Fu film.

Now that would make the monk worth playing.

I see your point. But moves of the monks are brilliant too, they jump, kick, tackle, punch, it is fun to watch them. If only IWD2 had that monk avatar as well.

I heard that there was a mode which enabled BG2 monk avatar for IWD2, but...
Having finished it 2.5 times in HoF, I am getting bored with it (plus 3E rules..damn.), but BG2 is a true CLASSIC that one can always love and play.

Anyone builds a good monk in BG2? Come on, it may be fun! Let's try it out! Developers added monk class for us to try and have fun afterall.
Any comments from a monk PC?

[IMG] I deleted a couple of posts here altogether because they dealt exclusively with ToB content.
