    Hint time. One of the two leading men in the show was in Serenity. His character there was as much of a geek as his character in this show.

    The other male lead doesn't always play geeks, and his character here isn't tape-on-the-glasses worthy, but he's hardly a studmuffin, either.

    Hint: The actor in the TV series did not like the long hours necessary for a TV series and quit after the first year. The producers quickly shifted gears to make a series 'a lot like' the hit original series, but changed the cast and made the character 'loosely' based of the RL cop. The second series starred Robert Blake and was called Baretta.

    OK, so nobody else remembers Toma. The actual NJ detective used to play bit parts in the series ala Hitchcock style.

    New Series:

    Eunice, a quick tug on the ear, wearing a curtain rod, and Jim Nabors in every season opener.
