    Wow, I almost didn't check back here as I figured my wild guess would have been way off the mark. I suppose that shows that sometimes your first instinct is the right one.

    OK, because of this TV show, whenever I put on glasses, my 2 year old son says Daddy has "a mission"........

    No, remember this is a two year old. He probably isn't clear on exactly what a "mission" is, but he knows that on this show, the person with the glasses always says "We've got a mission!"

    And this is an American show, so it's not some obscure NZ thing.

    OK, this must be tougher than I thought. This is one of his favourite shows, so that makes it a kids' show, that is played constantly on the Playhouse Disney channel. The guy with the glasses is one of a bunch of characters who go on a Mission each episode. These are really exciting missions of earth shattering importance like recovering lost balloons or helping a duckling find his family.

    Ah, much much closer now. You are on the right track, but it's not Blue's Clues. Nobody on that show wears glasses.

    In this show there are four main characters. The guy who wears the glasses is called Leo. His little sister is Annie. Leo is a conductor. I think Annie might be a singer. One of the others is a dancer. Not sure what the third chap is.

    Jhonka is correct. The Little Einsteins say "we've got a mission" so much that my son thinks I'm going on a mission when I wear my glasses. Kids!
