    Never play world conquest games with your significant other. I find any game that involves a little bit of 'healthy' competition has a good probability of ending in disaster!

    as many of you know i'm a huge fan of gaming, especcially classic, i have almost a thousand games now, and more than one computer to play thyem on, i love all those great classics like wasteland, ultima 1, pool of radiance, king's bounty, alkabeth, day of the tentacle, alone in the dark, etc. i could go on for literally pages upon pages, but i think i probably shouldn't.

    [​IMG] Aklabeth? Is that the one where you get to dicker with the merchants and you use things like crowbars to open the tombs to explore etc?

    Wow has that been a long time! I barely remember that one... I played it on my Apple IIe along with the Infocom games...

    [​IMG] Infocom did have so good games. In addition to Zork I remember Witness, Cutthroats, and Bureaucracy. I also remember playing Return to Zork and having it blow my mind. Nothing like seeing the while house after all those years.
    I remember a lot of Atari and Apple games that were great.

    Atari:
    Defender
    Missile Command
    Pit Fall
    Yars Revenge

    Apple
    Castle Wolfinstien (2D and beyond)
    Swashbuckler (the games "featured" hi-res graphics)
    The Ancient Art of War
    Archon (and Archon II)
    AutoDuel
    The Adventure Construction Set

    Does anyone out there remember Diplomacy? In my opinion a true classic of a board game, I remember many a happy hour invading france and breaking all my promises.
