Ofcourse Bush wouldn't do that. After all he's a Texas oil man. These guys are his buddies and, more importantly, contributors. Nixon put price controls in place as oil cots went up. Bush is allowing prices to go up while costs don't. Some here have touted the fact that prices over in europe or so much higher, but what they fail to realize is the why. The price is so much higher because of taxes, not the oil companies making more money. They have also mentioned that Democrats were in support of gasoline costing more, but then fail to mention why. They want it to be taxed more heavily, not for th oil companies to fill their coffers. Then these taxes are supposed to go towards researching alternative fuels so that we can ween ourselves away from oil dependence. I thought artificial price inflation was illegal, Gas stations in ATL and Chi-town got in trouble for it in recent years. So why is it wrong for them to do it, but okay if oil companies do it across the board? It's simple, they have the administration in their pocket. If you don't believe it take a look at the alternative fuel source that they tout. Fuel from corn, it costs more, is less efficient (both in it's creation and in it's use), and oh yeah, causes more pollution. We should be pushing forward on electric and hydrogen, both of which are far far cleaner(no pollution in the use of it) and more efficient. Just another way the Bush administration is screwing us. I mean even if humans have almost nothing to do with global warming how could it hurt to try to clean up the enviroment, lessen pollution, and rid ourselves of dependence on fossil fuels and inefficient fuel sources? The only benefit by not acting is that the oil companies get richer.

Then there's foreign relations, something that we were doing pretty good at up until Bush took office. Now our foreign relations are so bad that the price of chinese food has gone up(not really, but you get my point). He took us from having the sympathy of the world to the most hated country in next to no time at all. You have to work pretty hard to do that.

At the same time he ruined our foreign relations he convinced us we needed to start a war with Iraq because they posed an immediate threat to us. While Saddam desperately needed to be removed from power it could have waited. So instead of securing Afghanistan and disposing of Bin Laden we lose him, and afghanistan is still in turmoil. Iraq is in chaos because we didn't have the manpower to secure it against outside threats (contrary to popular liberal media spin insurgents from neighboring countries are what brought about the chaos that is Iraq today) that influenced many Iraqis to move against one another and us. Only the Kurds in the North have found relative peace in the country(no small victory in it's own right). And it's all because of mismanagement within the Bush administration. He didn't listen to the people that knew what they were talking about and instead replaced them. He didn't listen to anyone that said something contrary to what he wanted. Remember how often Gen. Powell and Rumsfeld were at each other's throats?

This adminstration has been nothing but lies, corruption, and mismanagement.

All Clinton did was get his peter played with and help his corrupt wife out of a scandal(whitewater) and he got impeached.

Only Grant's administration was this corrupt, and that was over whiskey.
