Killing them doesn't work for you but unrealistically sticking them in a building to never visit them does?

I'm I the only one that finds this very strange logic?

Actually, I think it's more feeling than logic for Cernak (his "poor pixels" comment). Some people you just can't bear to kill. :aww:

Xan is one of my favorites. His low CON (and hit points) aren't that big of a handicap as I just keep him in the back out of harm's way. His spells are limited too, but it all adds to the challenge of playing him and his charm, I suppose. I used him through an entire game once where he wieled (and used) his sword -- never a ranged weapon. Of course, this was like my third play-through.

You're right, Fel; and what I do does depend on the NPC who's being dispatched.

Sir Fink: Thanks for the info; I'll have to give Xan a more extended try. Like you, I'm taken with his mordant attitude, but I wasn't sure how well he'd play.

Starwalker: Thanks for the comments on Dynahair and Xan. As for sticking unwanted NPC's in a building: well, yes, it's not logical, but I do send them Candygrams. And is killing them outright more "logical", or just quicker? Fel's comments on the attrition of battle are relevant, and I've used that too. As I said, whatever works.

True. it's probably not much more logical to kill them. But I'm prone to keep them in their pairings unless like Dynaheir it's possible to get one of them in a pairing without the other. All the stuff for their pairing is triggered around Minsc. Never speak to him and she never cares in the least. He is just like another big dumb tree in Nashkel.
