I don't suppose you asked them in what way this candidate was better qualified than you?

I'm sorry, but I don't find that Facebook thing to be very funny at all. I know that humor is subjective and all that, but death is pretty serious, and this dan guy is a bit of a douche for making such an insensitive post. Maybe that's how he deals with it, and he's been told all his life that the only thing that matters in the world is him expressing himself and that other people don't matter, but I believe people should be sensitive to the feelings of others and not be self indulgent douches.

Sorry, I'm a little sensitive right now. My Dad's just had 2 heart attacks in the last month. He's 88, and so intellectually I know he's beaten the averages and lived a good life. I mean, frick, he even says he's ready to go and all, but it's pissing me off, and my brothers' "well, he's old, so what?" attitude is, quite frankly, pissing me off. Fricking dorks, you wouldn't believe the sacrifices he made for them just so they could turn their backs on him when he's dying.

Wow I just had a really shi....crappy thing happen. I had just missed an LRT heading home from my sons school today and so I had a few minutes to kill until the next one so I thought I would use the time wisely and review for a first-aid course test I have to take this evening. The wind happened to catch the loose sheet I had inside and sure enough dropped it right into the lower tracks where I couldn't get it back. That loose sheet happened to be the test itself in which our instructor was providing some of the answers throughout the 3 day course. That so sucks.

I hate insomnia.... being awake for nearly 30 hours, then sleeping 3 and going to work is not fun.

... and yeah, 10 years ago I would actually have been posting right here in the Random Babble about how much fun that is. I think more than one of you owes me an I told you so.

Tonight is (or yesterday was) Koninginnedag, or "Queen's Day". What St.Patrick's Day is to the Irish, Koninginnedag is to the Dutch, but with more alcohol, and everything's orange, iso green.

Sofar, I'm having a great time! My best friend is the DJ of one of our city's best known and oldest bars/clubs. Resulting in me having some influence on what music's being played tonight. Apparently, most people like my suggestions. :)

I think back then I was told roughly "You won't think like that when you're older" XD then again, I have promised someone that if i am still capable of regular all-nighters in my mid-thirties, I will gloat like whoa.

MoN, you know what they say - Live fast, die young, leave a legible playlist. I should work on my Djing more because fffs, the past few times I've been on the decks have been... abyssmal.

Urrh I'm bored, bored bored! Got nothing to do... Continuing the job search, you'd think I'd find something by now ? It's been three months. So.... here's something incoherent; babibou lalou zajou gabu kisahi jihi!

PS: How awesome was Sunday's Game of Throne ? The list of potential candidate to the Iron Throne is shrinking week by week. Why hasn't anybody in Westeros just though "hey let's just drop this monarchical nonsense and install a republic in its place ?" But I guess that'll be antithetical to the show's title. Also, Game of Throne is the subtitle of the first book only, the second book's (also the second series, at least it should) subtitle is A clash of Kings. It baffles me why they haven't name the show A Song of Fire and Ice ? That's the book's title after all. Speaking of which, I haven't finished reading the first book... so watching GoT season 2 kinda spoils thing for me, meh whatever :p

... I have not slept since my first post on this page. Damn you, insomnia, and damn you Jeremy Renner. Why do you have to show off your arms in every movie you're in?

Developed an abscess on the back of my leg. Not fun, especially the antibiotics I got put on after spending way too much money for a doctor to tell me what I already knew. Right now, my word of the week is "ouch!"

Dice, Don't you feel the loving embrace of self righteous laziness ? Procrastination only wishes the best for you, really ! It would tell you how exactly it's best for you, but y'know later :D

OTOH; I've found a website who teaches you the basics of old-french. But damn it's hard. I think the hardest part is that orthography wasn't fixed at that time yet, words could be spelled differently from author to author or even in the same text.

    Yay for sleep!

I made my first foray into cooking stir-fry last night. I should really pay more attention to recipe listings. Namely the parts that said "two half chicken breast" where I missed the word half, and the part that said "feeds four"

Suffice to say I had a lot of food on my hands, and it was waaaay more chicken than it should have been.

@ Flix - If procrastination was a critter I wouldn't be throwing it bread-crumbs to follow me home. Those things breed like rabbits.

@ Ara - Congrats on the nap. My suggestion would be to avoid anything with caffeine and sitting in on some university-type accounting classes. That might help you catch up on the rest of your rest.

@ Reepnorp - I'm not referring to the person here when I say - Chicken is Good... Actually I remember making a batch of cookies once and 1/2ing almost all the recipe except for the baking soda. YUCK Extra baking soda does not make for a good peanut butter cookie.
