Oh, you have a real life, that explains it :p

I, on the other hand, literally check SP as often as facebook, which (as I am writing a paper) is after every sentence I write :p

There's an inch of snow outside. Brits don't deal with snow well so the whole country has ground to a halt!

On the other hand, my mum had to start work at 4 am and drive down a country road. Plus it was all ice under a thin coating of snow so that wasn't fun

In Cologne public transport is annually surprised, just surprised by an inexplicable and apparently random phenomenon called 'Winter', resulting in delays and all the related nuisances.

Indeed, who could possibly foresee low temperatures, ice and snow towards the end of a year?

Same here. Only with the addition of all the taxi drivers spontaneously going on strike and sealing off the city core, so there is *no* traffic to get stuck in for an eternity, in the first place.

I shall not speak of the #33 bus.

On a related note: Nothing makes one as aware of their body mass as wading through 40 cm of snow for half an hour, in sneakers (trainers).
At that point a tree branch unloaded more snow at my head. I laughed. There simply wasn't any expression left for the situation.

    From RBP #109...

Between being a Canadian or being a Quebecer... pick your poison. I prefer being Canadian than a F'N Quebecer.

As long as Quebec is part of Canada you're going to have to deal with being BOTH! :p

And to answer Daie: yes, it is. Most definitely yes.

At least today was tolerable. Yesterday? not so much. Thank God* there's Calvados in the mini-bar!

    * aka my boss, in whose house I'm staying while she's away

Just found out my old boss died today. She was a lovely woman and only in her early 40's (if that). I'm stunned. Really, really stunned

haha, I woke up 30 min ago too! I got home from a christmas party last night at 2 am (and quite drunk), and I had to get up at 5am to go help my girlfriend annd her family in charity work (still a bit drunk, but it went away quickly...). I got home at noon, went to bed, and woke up just now at 5 pm... hihi :)

    Dear Wireless Internet,

You can only be the way of the future (the way of the future! the way of the future! the way of the future! the way of...) if you promise to actually WORK.

I've never had issues with accessing the interwebs from my BB Storm...even when I'm not in a 3G coverage area it still works, albeit very slowly. ;)

In other news...X-Mas needs to hurry up and be over with. :bad:

Yay, snow in Cologne, and it has not yet molten or was salted into a muddy sludge. Nice! It actually really looks and feels like winter!
