The RHCP concert in Brisbane next year is on the 13th of April which is a Friday. Just hope that nothing happens to the band on that day that will make them unable to perform. But still, I am not a superstitious person.

    Good morning All

It is below freezing today. We are having an Octoberfest picnik at work to promote comraderie. It starts at lunch time but I volunteered to cook and setup for it so I will be outside almost all day. Luckily for me I will at least be over the grill so I shouldn't be too cold.

I'm finished for the week, hurrah! Now I need to find somewhere that sells ash dowel/poles for spear and axe hafts.

Decados, where have you applied to, and where did Daie end up?

I applied to Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh for Medicine. As my back-ups I went for Glasgow and Edinburgh to study Mathematics and Philosophy. No idea about Daie, I'm afraid.

Heh, if only you guys were in charge of Uni admissions...

I have both a dane-axe head, and a spearhead, both of which are feeling rather sad and lonely, due to not being hafted. I've had a terrible time trying to find somewhere that actually sells things that I can use, largely due to what I need being ash, for both authenticity and safety purposes.

Day two of my at home vacation. I'm feeling rather relaxed at the moment. Too bad the good stuff on TV isn't on until later--and all on at the same time...

    /me screams random profanities

The apartment above me is getting new carpet put in...and the F***ing stupid a**holes started ripping up the old carpet around noon...which woke me up. And ever since they’ve been hammering like an 80 year old woman on speed. :bang:

If you have to nail something, don't take all day tapping the nail like it's a piece of glass...just whack that sucker one or two times and be done with it! I swear, I've never heard someone make so many delicate (but loud) taps of a hammer. And when you're trying to sleep...it drives you nuts! :flaming:

So with that BS going on right above my head, I was able to get just over 4 hours of sleep to day. :nono: Work is going to suck tonight. :rolling:

Fixed the messed up set today. Or rather, finished that piece, not fixed. We kind of ignored the half inch and cheated, but it is structuraly safe, so its A-OK. (The hell does AOK mean?)

I hate to agree with Kitrax but I have to admit that complaining about getting (only  )7 hours of sleep sounds a little silly to me. If I get less than 5 hours I get a little cranky but if I get a full 7 hours I feel like I've slept a very full night and can do just about anything.

    Now THAT'S scary.

Just restashed on SoBe, should be enough to last the whole week (hopefully).

AutoCAD is getting less of a pain as I get familar with it. Architecture isn't THAT bad, actually.

As for now, off to install my shiny new Kubuntu. See ya later, peeps.
