Actually published in my land, there is a small funny book about gifts of "IGNobels" prizes (ignoble+Nobel wordplay).

— In that book are described several odd inventors, and one of them was just creating a little very special software, which understand if it is a cat paw OR an human hand which is runing on the keyboard !

... Now if only 2 keys are strangely pressed, an alarm rings, and a large flashing phrase appears on the screen, and a voice says : << — Feline Key-Typing Detected. Type the "HUMAN" word immediately ! >>

If you (or your cat, a chance among, heu ... more than 1 000 000 000 !) don't type the word "human" in short numbers of seconds, then a frightening siren and others cat-scarecrows are starting to work.

... Well, and it's not all : silly customers have tried to use this sofware to protect the computer from their young chield, but the inventor don't warrants a guarantee for that use, because he says that a not negligible percentage of babies have an ordered-kind-of-mind, (and punctiliously type the keys one by one) ...

 

The municipal election results were pretty boring where I live (pretty much all the incumbents won and there really was no attempt to campaign based upon issues it was just "I am a good person who has done X,Y and Z so vote for me" type stuff.

However, the results up at my cottage were very interesting. The locals have always had complete control of the municipal government up there - but not any more. The cottagers have taken control. It is kind of an interesting situation. We have always had a small group of people who live there year round making decisions on how to use the tax money that mostly comes from people who are only there on week-ends during the summer. You could argue that the locals take advantage of the cottagers by taxing them and using the funds to pay for services (e.g. the schools) that the cottagers do not use but quite frankly without the locals you would not have the stores and services that the cottagers rely upon. It will be interesting to see if there will be a change in the way things are run up there.

 

Still raining... *sigh*

At least it keeps the grass green.

I guess that makes sense, DarkStrider. I still prefer the camels though.

@humpday discussion - I alway felt that the term was a little weird. Although I know that it is refering to the middle of the week I always felt like it was refering to something you should do on that day

 

I dreamt that I was engaged, in a great job, and my fiance was pregnant. When i woke up, I was really upset to find this wasn't the case.

What the hell is wrong with me? I'm 18 years old for God's sake! I'm in university! When did I start growing up?

 

Our local elections were the some of the worst mud slinging campaigns in our history this year.

Humpday, means nothing to me. I work almost every weekend anyways. Speaking of work, they called me in to work tonight. Once again working 10 shifts out of a 14 day pay period (all 12 hour shifts of course)... Christmas is coming.

 

I'm tired and I have a bad ****ing headache...

and I still don't feel... good. Don't know why, though.

— The more I can do for you is going a new time, next week, on the hill above which was the hypermarket where I was reading that book, and try to take references of both exact tittle tome & author, and, perhaps, publisher in France.

... If then you can manage the transmission of a writing to the author, perhaps you could have some personal informations about the inventor, and then ...

• But perhaps, more easily, there is informations at start or end of the book. I shall put a glance soon.

NOTE : That software will NOT cause fear to a BIG CAT as Felinoid ...
... And author precise that the effect is much more less useful with deaf cats ...
