I just had one of my bro's signature overkill poutine... there's enough energy to sustain me for days in that stuff... oh well, I don't eat much anyway so no problem.

I am considering prepairing a dish made of insects. Probably meal worms, maybe crickets. I haven't decided yet.

[neo]Whoa.[/neo] I skip two days here, and RBPs go waaay off... :)

Firstly, it's dead and buried, but Chev? There's a world of difference between a 'cook' and a 'chef'. And there's plenty of prominent females in the latter august profession...

No, I was talking about the meek little role of the shmoe who frys your eggs at the diner, or the burger or makes the club sandwich or salad, etc.

    Secondly, @Kitrax:

    Todd Snider RULES!!! :D

But...you just gave the middle of the song. :bad:

The actual start explains who the two guys are:
    B double-E double-R U N, beer run
    B double-E double-R U N, beer run
All we need is a ten and five, a
Car and a key and a sober driver,
    B double-E double-R U N, beer run

A couple of frat guys from Abilene
Drove out all night to see Robert Earl Keen
At the K-pi swine and soiree dance
They wore baseball caps and khaki pants
They wanted cigarettes, so to save a little money
They got one from this hippie who smelled kinda funny
And next thing they knew, they were both pretty hungry
    And pretty thirsty tooo...

And then the verse after your bit to resolve the crisis is:
They found this 'nother old hippie named Sleepy John
Claimed to be the one from the Robert Earl Keen song
So they gave him all their cash, he bought 'em some brew
Was a beautiful day out in Santa Cruz
They were feelin' so good it shoulda been a crime
The crowd was cool and the band was prime
They made it back up front to their seats just in time
So they could sing with all their friends
They sang "the road goes on forever and the party never ends"

    B double-E double-R U N, beer run
    B double-E double-R U N, beer run
All we need is a ten and a five, a
car and a key and a sober driver
    B double-E double-R U N, beer run

Thirdly, Kuemp - sorry you've had a bad experience over there. IIRC, you and yer hubby live only a few blocks from me; that Pizza Hut is a twenty-minute drive from here in the East End. :( And they...well, they seem to not really give a Sweet Fanny Adams about what you ask for. :nolike: I got friends that live maybe a block from the place and they stopped going there a year or two ago.

Alternately, I'd recommend Pizza Delight, up in that 'mall area' off Stavanger Drive; the food's good, the service is much better, and it's MUCH closer (you're even within 'range' of delivery from there, as opposed to P'hut).

Fourthly, on the 'Death is a door' sub-thread; I've seen a sig with the following which seems kinda apt here:
    :hahaerr:

And finally, on to 'New Business'. I got paid today and didn't have to work until the night-shift, so we borrowed my folks' car to go shopping. It was a sunny and windy day today, so we wore hats. While we're in the stores, wifey was nice enough to carry mine for me.

Going through the checkout, she whimsically decides to put my Tilley hat on her head. I bemusedly go along with it, and grab her rainbow toque. We step outside and...

    Her: "My ears are cold."
    Me: "I can't see - it's too bright."
    Both: "This SUCKS."
And we switched hats back. It was very Calvin&Hobbes-esque, and funny as heck at the time. :D

I love my incense oil burner. It leaves the house smelling nice and it doesn't leave it with that smoky afterfeel.

In other news we got a scary notice from our landlord today. Apparently one of the connecting houses is infested with bedbugs so they are sending a guy to inspect our house and a couple of other neihbours on monday morning. Ewwww. I don't think we have them though and she said that once they fumigate the infested place the bugs will die before they can escape and breed.

Ehh, that's just what my scorpions eat. Doesn't look too inspiring either - I wouldn't sample it, for sure.

My sleep patters have been screwy lately. I lay down at night and sleep for a few hours then I'm wide awake. Then I can't stay awake in the afternoon...
