I got soaked on the bumper boats last night. Kind of sucked as the sun had just gone down as we finally got through the line. :bad:

There's a pretty big wildfire to the north, so the valley is filled with so much smoke, that you can't see either of the mountain ranges. :bad: :rolling:

less than 2 weeks til labor day.i'm ready for a long weekend.i'll have those tiny little pecker gear pinions to run on one machine.i hate those things they have about a 3 minute cycle time,so you run yourself to death with them.i had shafts on the other machine last night.they should be done with them,if they get their hands out of each others pants long enough to work.what a crock!first shift has a guy on each machine, but i run them both by myself.it isn't fair.of course,i don't want an extra person.i'm capable of running them myself.they just should seperate those 2.i spend my first hour finding and fixing all their mistakes

Got called for jury duty and it looks like I may get on a case. The thing that sucks is that we were planning a trip to Oregon so I could show my wife the area. I'm trying to convince her that we should move there. Now we may have to postpone the trip until next year. :sosad:

I just got off the phone with Bell and I was told that they can't uncancel my home internet account after they shut if off in error. I think I will drop dead from unsurprise.

Now they are saying that they think they can set a new account up for me by Friday by which time I will have been without internet for two weeks.

My new connection will supposedly be at higher speed and they are giving it to me a $15 discount for the first two years to "apologize for the inconvenience".

2 things that will make you laugh:

    1. One of my bill payment companies called and asked if I'd sent my payment in (they call every month). I said I had (about 3 weeks ago with Priority Mail which takes 3 business days). The caller then told me they hadn't gotten it (OMG, no wai! Just like every other payment I've sent you!), but that they had changed address (sounds like they are avoiding creditors too  ) and if they didn't get it in a couple of days, then it was probably sent back to me.

    2. M-I-L comes downstairs and hears the mice in the walls.
She asks, "Do we still have creatures?"
Me and Hubby: "Hell YES! They never left!"
M-I-L: (in that bitchy Mom-voice which makes it known you are wrong)"Well, you should have told me so I could call an exterminator in!"
Us: "We didn't think you cared because the mice are downstairs!"

WTF was she thinking: we caught 4 mice and that's all of them?!? Or maybe: if she wasn't here, the mice would just leave on their own. I bet she gets an exterminator in when they leave for Cuba in 2 weeks.

Woah, just finished the last of the Tawney Man trilogy... holy crap! Robin Hobb is amazing! I don't even know what to say about the books (obviously in a good way), other than they are unbelievably good and no fantasy-lover should go without them.

You know, this is one of the small advantages of Bell - they f*** up, then they offer small perks to make up for their idiocy. 15$ off for two months isn't bad.

Speaking of the morons, they called me today because they knew I jumped ship to Telus, and they're offering me a month of unlimited text messaging and unlimited calls after 7pm if I stay. I've ran out of airtime in my Telus, so this kinda happens when I need it.

    Thanks, Bell Stupidity... I guess.
