DoTW, good riddance to them. My favorite idiot architect story is an old one - Pope John XXIII was being shown plans for a new office building for the Vatican and he made only one comment on the plans, "We are not angels." After a while the architect figured out he had not included any restrooms . . .

Back is better, despite the disappointing fact that Norflex is not available over the counter here; still have no clue what I did to myself.

It is cloudy and looks like it might rain but I bet it doesn't.

My final exam, the so called magisterial exam, is next week, on Monday, 1 pm. Hurrah for cramming.

Good luck with the cramming chev!

My 2nd year assessment is tomorrow. I should do fine. I'd like to think that after 2 years of working on this project I have a pretty good idea of what it's about and where I'm taking it.

It's almost time for me to go home and - woo-hoo! - it's raining. Of course I left my umbrella in the car but I'm glad it's raining and I can dry off when I get home.

Chev, best of luck in the final, and Ziad, best of luck on the assessment. My money's on the both of you to do well.

EDIT: Now it's stopped raining. Oh, well.

Look at it from the bright side: At least you won't need your umbrella! :)

I'm spending too much time 'clicking the mouse' in the dark places of the earth... if you know what I'm talking about.

And I think you know what I'm talking about.

    I'm talking about solitaire.

I'm sorry for chev, lost of coffee cup is a tragedy.

Anyway, someone can point to me a good strategy game similar to Civ IV? I LOVE that game mind you, but this funny incident made me realised maybe I should look for something else.

I was playing the "Charlemagne" scenario (i.e early mediaeval europe) and I was on me way to conquer the Iberian peninsula when suddenly this message pops up; (note that it isn't the same text word per word :p )

" Congratulation His Holiness, The Pope has crowned you Holy Roman Emperor "

Yeah thanks, but can I, you know finnish conquering Iberia? I'm kinda in the middle of a fight.

Argh, school has started back up... and I am unreasonably depressed about it. I am really loathe to step into the building and take classes. It is really upsetting.

Hell yeah!!! And even better - I had regular classes today (still in architecture), and the teacher passed some paperwork to do, and my friend turned to me and simulated spitting on the paper. I simulated litting the paper on fire and pissing on it to stop it from completly burning. Teacher saw me, and guess what? I was expelled for a harmless joke!

Now... THAT'S going too far. I got my new schedule and I'm starting in the art department Thursday. I haven't yet told my friends in the department. Planning a surprise, you see.

Are there Tuesdays in the Gray Wastes of Hades? Or the Infinite Layers of the Abyss for that matter?

@DoTW: You can tell those bureaucrats and the headmaster from me that I for one don't care about an architect's haircut or dresscode, so long as s/he can design buildings. ;)

i still remember way back to the sylmar earthquake.there was a new earthquake-proof hospital going to open very soon.i'm glad it wasn't open yet, because the earthquake leveled the earthquake-proof hospital.i don't know if it was the designers or the builders, but all this talk about architects made me think of it.it really wasn't too bad in sun valley ( right next to burbank ) ,but it did get me out of school for a few days

No, you were expelled for disrupting a class.

Try to work as a teacher or a trainer sometime before you judge why they act the way they do. Keeping control of a class so that teaching time is not wasted is tough enough without bozos acting like children.

I agree with Colthrun, I mean if I were in the place of the teacher I'd do the same.

Well...were I come from, being expelled from school means that you can *never* return to that particular school. Not sure if that's the same thing that happened to you DotW, but if that's the case, then I think the teacher/administrators over reacted.

I can see getting kicked out of class for the day, being marked absent, and not getting any credit for any assignments that day...but expulsion is a bit harsh.

Anyhoo... I'm off for a good 6 hour nap, and then we're headed to sunny California for a week!!!
Try not to destroy anything too important while I'm gone. :p :rolling:

Main thing is, it did *not* disturbed anyone. Expelling me was the only thing that disrupted the class - my joke was unnoticed.

Bozos acting like children... :shake: :shake: :shake: That doesen't offend me. Not at all.

Well, I'm getting my head chewed by the bureaucrats in less than two hours from now. They'll likely expel me until I start in the art department (read: two days). It's not the first time I get into the trouble wih the said bureaucrats.

Considering my questionable past in this college, they *could* expel me once and for all... but I don't care, I'll just go to another college.
