Think of it the other way around. What if you could never forget your bad memories?

Ok, so that WOULD suck quite a bit wouldn't it!
Hmm... I wonder if you remember everything you've seen even if you were drunk. Now THAT would be nice! ;)

[IMG] I remember most things that I see, it's a bit annoying as I don't remember things I'm told - only things I see

Also another bad point is that you do remember all the bad things - more so than the good things :(

My memory isn't that good (I can't even remember what we had for lunch today) but I can remember things from when I was like 2 years old (no not a joke) and I remember them well.

Well i got a PM from Sprite which cheered me up no end. (The details are private so don't bother asking). The other reason is also to do with this, but i still won't say. It's been nice and sunny lately. All my classes at school rock. And i got a new CD-Rom drive (upgraded it from 32x to 52x and also more RAM (went from 128MB to 256MB).
And my Hamster adds to my happiness level in abundance. :)

Bad memories can be dug deep into memory with therapy.

And there is a technique to improve memorizing (mages would LOVE to get their hands at it) called Memory palace
Anyone ever heard of it???

Well i'm sure most mothers would be happy with a kiss and a hug from their son. But if you want to get her something, chocolate and a card normally's fine.

[IMG] buy her parfume or something, and if you're under 15 make her a card - it always helps if the gift is bad especially ;)

I belve that memory technique is not a bluff like many things are nowadays.
It goes back to 16 century (or so ;) ) with Matteo Ricci going to china as a missionary

She's forty. I can't get her a chocolate and a card. Unless it's a really big chocolate  (j/k). Maybe I'll get her a nice set of crystal glasses? (yeah right like I have that kind of money  ) I'd have to think about this.

    [EDIT] Good idea 8people... [/EDIT]

If you mean Sun's Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition 1.4.0 (which integrates inside Internet Explorer instead Microsoft's VM), then go here:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

    [EDIT]
    Wildfire!!! *glower* ;)

Anyway, you definetly need it if you're using Internet Explorer 6.0.

And you need JRE. Not SDK!
