It's not surprising, it's just ridiculous. In theory, there should be plenty of oversight to prevent such mistakes, but in reality, all the palms are greased to keep things running smoothly. That's why so many of the "frivolous" lawsuits succeed. The claims are absolutely legitimate, but it just seems ludicrous on the outside that such situations could arise in the first place.

So far in the Steam Summer Sale, I've bought 5 games for a whopping $16.75 Cdn (~14 US). Only one was on my wish list.

    Oh, and, umm, hi.

Eh, you can save a lot of money on games during the steam sales, though you'll likely still be spending money you otherwise wouldn't have.
Here's a wallpaper to get you through the worst of it, while still having some money left xD

I'm on 5.78 EUR on GOG and 6.68 EUR on Steam. I could have saved a bit by buying one of the games on GOG instead, but I don't like splitting my collections.

Also, please use thumbs or spoiler tags if you're pasting large images.

That's great, but I still prefer seeing thumbs for larger images outside of image threads. Just as a common courtesy. :)

Tried to stream the season 4 season end of TruBlood last night and lost the internet connection. Called and was told "maintenance". Brought to mind a picture of little men working in space on the satellite. Warped humor saved my mood and I was given a 2 day downtime credit. Must have been a million phone calls last night!

Now up to 7 games on the Steam Sale. Still only 1 off my wishlist (and that was just a DLC bundle for a game I already owned). Realistically, though, I doubt I'll get any more off my wishlist since they're newer games and won't fall within my buying criteria (>75% off and <$5 US) for awhile. Of the other 6 games I bought, 4 weren't even on my radar (the other 2 were games I had considered but I didn't want them badly enough to go on my wishlist).

And I just realized that since I contributed to SP's Pillars of Eternity kickstarter campaign, I think I get free copy. I just need to figure out how.

My unplayed games list just keeps going up.

Edit: Note to self: When trying to figure out something like how to get my PoE copy, it is often useful to check the relevant forum to see if there is a thread sticky'd right at the top :shake:

Y'know Splunge, Aldeth is the foppish idiot here, not you. Stop trying to usurp his place.

I don't think I'm much of a fop, but what I lack in foppishness I more than make up in idiocy, so yeah, I guess I am giving Aldeth a run for his money. :D

Been to the steam sale, bought nothing. The last few months gaming is loosing its glamor.

Normally I would have gotten withcer 3 at release. I think it is sunshine.

I want to buy Rayman Legends, but I'm torn because I can't stand uPlay. I guess I'll wait another year and see how badly I want to play it then.

I have like 10 pages of Humble game codes, most of which are still unused. I should really redeem/sell all that crap.

ugh, uPlay, nearly as bad as Origin.
Just redeem them all, get some supplies and seal yourself away behind the pc for a few weeks to play them all. :D

A few weeks? Discounting the ones I already have, that's still over a hundred games on top of at least 300 in my Steam/GOG library that are still waiting on me. I'm good, but I'm not that good.

Also, Uplay is far worse than Origin. Ubisoft in general is a company I hate far more than EA these days.

The problem with Steam / GoG / whatever sales nowadays is that my catalog for both is already swelling with games yet-to-be-played and there are relatively few new releases (PoE aside) that excite and are much reduced.

The fact that games now cost less than beer can't convince you to cough up when you just won't get enough time to play the things.

Also: I agree Keneth, The EAvil Empire are still bad, but not as egregious from a PC-gamers perspective as Ubi. Origin still has the standard disadvantages of any DRM-wrapper, but UPlay is just horrible, seemingly eating FPS for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Remembered that I never paid for Icewind Dale. Part two I ordered twice in the same week, and paid for it.

Added the game, for only 10$/euro.

Playing it with a high end gaming pc (r9 290). No visible result compared to older PC.
