I like my music videos filled with ridiculous dance moves, blatant violations of personal space, and accompanied by a three and half hour tearjerker movie. :D

I kinda get that Hemlock Grove is all about the ride not the plot. But some of the dialogue is priceless. Must have been written when high on weeds. And the amount of grotesque plot twists and scenes. haha. Definately worth the watch if nothing else, then together with some friends and binge watch with a crate of beers.

@Keneth we share the same crazy hobby. Obscure Bollywoodish dance videos ^^

Yep, Anil Kapoor. He's pretty huge as far as Bollywood actors go.

Speaking of 24, is anyone else anxious to see the new season that starts tomorrow?

Oh, and happy Jedi day. May the Force be with you.

Is there a word for that feeling when you're getting to know someone and it seems that the more they talk, the more skeletons tumble from their closet to the point where you're just :jawdrop:?

Relationship joke ! Ah, I can dig that.

So, apparently we're doing brunch at mum's, because that's something familly do. I thought the benefit of having a disfunctional familly was so I didn't have to do that kind of stuff ?

You know Tal it sounds to me as if she trusts you enough to share her past and she actually may be testing you to see if you are strong enough or willing to accept her with her skeletons included. However I'm sure it's also making you wary. If you have only met this person online it is harder to judge sometimes because people are very good at hiding stuff. I would advise you not to run away, because she obviously trusts you enough to tell you this stuff, but make sure you examine her behaviour with an objective eye.

I have so many skeletons in my closets, dread necromancers come to me asking for advice.

Some secrets are never meant to see the light of day. Ignorance is bliss.

Well that's just it really... you have to ask yourself if someone is willing to share that much early on, just how much more there is going to be down the road.

I get the bad stuff outta the way early. Better than her finding out via your online arrest record.

Is that even an option ? Online stalking ? Does that come up often in your experience ?

Anyway, I say better let the bagage out early in the relationship, that way you're not that invested in it if it turns out to be a deal breaker. Ask yourself is the emotional bagage a deal breaker. Yes ? End it. No ? Well then carry on my wayward friend.

There's always the chance that there's more where it's coming from yes, but that's the thing with relationship. Sounds cliché and cheesy I know, but it's still mostly true.

From my own point of view I agree with Poly and Flix. I'm just starting to put myself out on the dating market again but I'm very tentative. I generally wait a while to reveal some information about myself (and you guys know what kind of crazy past I've been through). However if I feel that there is potential to have an actual connection with someone then I tell them the basics - to the point.

This way both him and I know exactly where we are standing. I know myself. I'm strong, intelligent, loving and compassionate, but I have been through some things that other people might not have handled as successfully as I have. Also I've grown and healed a lot and my experiences have made me smarter.

I hear men's market value only goes up as they age. :p

Seriously though, if love is supposed to be the best thing in life, you should never have to feel the need to settle for anything less than extraordinary. Life is far too short to be content with mediocrity, and you'd be better served with a good friend than a partner who will never rise up to the occasion.

Yeah, you risk being lonely, but if you won't risk it for love, when will you take the risk? Playing it safe usually leads to just as much unhappiness.

Depends on whether or not they still live with mom.

Some people believe they are damaged merchandise -- they may be right. In general, I've found someone tends to 'over share' if they are still hurting or they've had a bad experience when a significant other found out. It's a defense mechanism; get the bad stuff out of the way before there is too much invested.

Either that or the person is trying to scare you off ... or is really insane and you've just seen the tip of the iceberg (although a name change to 'Titanic' is probably premature).
