I'm not a Maiden fan either.

But Priest definitly pwns - I especially enjoyed the Ripper era. Demolition was rated as a bad album, but it's pretty damn good. In fact, it's playing in the background as I write this.

Halford Priest and Ripper Priest are different, yet both are great.

I dropped out twice already :)

But hey, you like classic metal, and I don't. Or rather, the only classic metal band I don't like is Maiden. So :p .

And screaming vocals are very metal...

    Yes, I agree very much.
    :p

I think we are just gonna have to disagree on this one. Even though we both know I'm in the right. ;)

    Any Savatage fans out here?

    Bah!

I've been gone four days and only three posts occured?

Listened to a couple of tracks of Trivium's new album. I am pleasantly surprised to note that they weren't half as bad as I feared. Perhaps I won't have to take ear-plugs to the concert later this year after all.

    'ahem*

the warmup acts were also good... Daycrest and Tarot anyway (Tarot = teh awesome) but the estonian act, Gates of pain? lousy. and poorlty placed -they got lukewarmest reception I have EVER seen since they were between Tarot and W.A.S.P.

and - guess who has one of Blackie Lawless' picks? :D

There's supposed to be two Down releases coming out soon. Wish there were more specific information available. And has Anselmo fully recovered yet, I wonder.

    Something happened to Uncle Phil?

Stuck with Slayer's Spirit In Black in my head... at least it's a good song.

I read on the forums on the Down site that he's had major back surgery and hasn't been able to scream like he used to as a result. I sure hope it gets sorted out.

I see you enjoyed the concert then.

I'd like to take this opportunity to once again reccomend Persuader to anyone who has not yet heard them.

Hmm... yeah, hope it sorts out good.

BTW, is the second Down album any good? I definitively digged Nola. Also, there are rumors of work beginning on a new album this year - any truth in that?

Graveworm ****ing pwns. I've been listening to the first EP and two first LPs again and again. This stuff is great!

I got M-16 by Sodom and its actually quite good. I am not sure about Inferno by Entombed at the moment. Perhaps it will grown on me.

At the moment I am really into Luca Turilli.

I'm quite liking Amon Amarth at the moment. I managed to pick up their new album the other day for £8.
