    Haha, the Boss.

I hate watching videos of him... when he plays soft stuff, he plays it like he's playing metal. He strums his guitar so hard and his veins in his neck pop out...

One of my favourit lyrics Saber:

    I have one Desire
    let it be
    a Pestilence upon your lands
a Plague upon all your houses
    it is my wish
    to Enslave all your people
The soil enriched with their Blood
To Burn your places of Worship
Our Gods shall become your Gods

Its a song about Christianity being forced onto the Irish.

Nectars of Eden by Ebony Tears is also great:

I feel the heat from the flames
I'm dying the essence of pain
This bitter life has come to an end
My mind is tired my heart is bleeding
I can feel the taste from the nectars of Eden
Never again shall I face the pain of living
    In a world of shame

What?!?!? I can tell the difference between 128Kbps and 192Kbps, even at low volumes...some people say there isn't a difference...but trust me, there is, and it's quite annoying. 128 has way too many "ticks" durring the loud parts of songs, and they make me crazy... :bad:

Ara, like I said in the FAI, Lordi has good sounding guitars, but their music is generally too slow for my tastes...and their vocals are weird. :skeptic: :rolling:

I use 128 so I can stick more stuff on my iPod... plus, I forgot to change it at the beginning, so its not worth it to go change 3000 songs into 192...

I encode my music in 96 kbps WMA, and it sounds great. As Morgoth said, MP3 is an old codec. I would use OGG Vorbis, but problem is my MuVo doesen't support it. I don't like Windows Media, but it performs pretty well.

Bought the new Terror CD today and its pretty good. Not as good as their last one, but better than their first one. Although they have a rap-track on it... maybe they're mocking it...?

On Broken Wings also have a hidden mock rap track on the album Some of Us May Never See The World (It's at the end of the track A Lazarus Envy, FYI). I was kinda "WTF?" when I first heard it, but when it ends, you can clearly hear the vocalist say "Like that's gonna change the world, you ****ing hippies". Weird.

Is Power Metal any good? Bands like DragonForce, Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire, Sonata Arctica, HammerFall, Kamelot, and Stratovarius?

Oh, and of course I must comment on the awesomeness of Teräsbetoni, too :p

I've heard enough power metal for my seven lives to come just by being at my friend's partys.

Death and black metal for me, please. You can keep the power metal.

Never been a fan of power metal or 'battle metal' as some seem to be calling it now.

A couple of guys furiously strumming at each other for 15 minutes per song, with 4 min intros & endless bridges.

....thats not music, thats mutual masturbation.

Those who like Death Metal and Black Metal, what would you suggest (besides Death, obviously)?

    Obituary? Sepultura?
