"Greetings, madam. The name's Yrinnyn, but my name is the least important here. There is foul magic at work, the dead are being risen to threaten the living and I have come to warn you and your town after dispatching one of them myself. You need to prepare your defences so soon as possible. It's essential that you contact the priesthood, I'll also try to reach them, and take proper steps to repel potential invasion. It is not bound to come, but one shouldn't count on miracles. If you don't mind, I need to talk to the captain before I go to the temple."

"W-w (yawn), you are talking to the captain - or constable, whatever title suits you - at the moment. I'll talk to the chur - (yawn) myself, thankyou. But that's certainly... interesting. First the hobgoblin, then the spate of robberies, then this. You said y - (yawn) slew one of these undead. How many of them did you see?"

"I dispatched one, my friend took care of another. There was more of them, certainly, but we didn't come across them. Those two we met were a ghast and a ghoul, but they were quite different. In fact they were... had been... elven and had symbols of Adeln as well as some holy water. Most probably rangers. Some foul magic must be at work. That would be all as I'm, essentially, not convince anyone but to warn. In fact, I'll have to go to the temple anyway quite soon, so I might wait for you if you go too." Yrinnyn's previous low profile, until now disturbed only by his manners and accent, is suddenly gone.

"Mmm. Right. (Yawn) I wonder how you knew there were more undead out there if you didn't see 'em. But r-(yawn)-eally, we'll deal with this ourselves, an' hope yer not (yawn) cryin' wolf. Or undead. Whatever. Go bother the church if you want. It's to the south."

"You'll surely deal with it on your own. Just take care, watch your kiddies and don't go to the forest unless in larger groups and armed. You might have people stay in the town and send a scout or two. I'm going to the church now and then back to where we found those undead. By the way, that soldier, Myrenzer, seems quite competent, if you know what I mean. You'll please excuse me now, madam." - you could swear that Yrinnyn can modulate yawning into intelligible words. Judging by the sound of his voice, he's also caught some cold or hay fever recently.

Yrinnyn bows his head slightly while taking his leave and goes to the church for a little talk. A warning, and a few questions. Maybe they know something more about strange once-elven undead.

The constable sleepily shuts the door in Yrinnyn's face without a word.

The local church of Riva is closed.

Yrinnyn goes to the tavern to ask about any official, secular or religious, that might be available.
