Armour is better for you. Your average armour later in the game is AC +7, there are some AC +8 ones and close to the end there was something like AC +10 in normal mode.

A level in monk has a significant disadvantage for main talkers: automatic refusal of many (if not most) rewards.

The same goes for paladin. Paladin, however, will allow the use of holy avenger sword (15/- spell resistance IIRC), add your CHA bonus to saves. Two or three levels would give you immunity to fear and disease, but you're better off with undelayed clerical spellcasting progression.

Plus, paladin opens the way to get +1 STR and +1 WIS from Holy Avenger quest. Good for monks and clerics alike, I bet. However, for monks it's about the only advantage (they already have skyhigh saves), and much so for DEX-based clerics who won't really use a longsword (HA is one).

For an Aasimar paladin or Aasimar or Drow Banite priest, it's possible to achieve a sum total of stats of 90. Before items and buffs :D

The +1STR and +1WIS that everyone keeps talking about is that only available to one paladin or do all your paladins get it??

eg. If i had 3 characters with 1 level each to paladin would all of them get the bonus or do i just chooses one?? Or does every character no matter the class get it as long as i have one paladin in the party??? And if a paladin goes through it twice once in normal second time in HoF will he get the bonuses from both to stack? so its +2STR and +2 WIS all up?

    All paladins get it.

And it doesn't matter which time you are playing the game.

As the game suggests going through normal mode with your character before engaging in HoF, the +2 STR +2 WIS is a perk. But bumping up your STR & WIS by playing again and again ad nauseam till you hit 30 on both, that's just lame, don't you think? Yet I bet people do i and even have fun from that

I am going to play through normal and then HoF yet i wont just export/import like 50 times as that would be heaps cheap.

When i typed second time in insane i meant HoF.
