    If we are not going to have any NPCs, I think there should have been some sort of disastrous event which killed most of the people, maybe about a year before the present day. This would explain why the Kindom only contains 5500 people.
    5500 people would only be enough people to make a small town, certainly not a kingdom.

    Lets base the disaster on The Great Crash.Something completly improbable happened which resulted in Tal having to do something with time (the vanishing posts thing). He manages to save the world but in the process most of those on the islands get killed in a pretty improbable way. Maybe the earth can be torn apart, plague, famine ect. If we did this however it would have to be more than a year back.

    People start disappearing and returning months later all frightened and everything and people discover they've been cursed with lycanthrope so we have to kill them off.

    Aik, I was thinking about having this disaster about 17 years before today. And would something improbable be a huge war, started by the church of BTA (who's the god of peace) against the church of Extremist (war)? Or should it be even more improbable, like a meteorite hitting earth?

    [​IMG] large radioactive fish comes on land and eats everyone - however the waters around the Kingdom have something in them that the fish is allergic to.

    I think that famine could be used. Remember in RotKU's history, there was a try to conquer the other islands but failed and therefore it was almost no food and heaps of people died due to this but in the end Blackthorne TA chosed to help the people. (He is the god of revival after all.)
