No, Terminator 1 and 2 look laughably old; the special effects are awful. But they are still decent action movies.

I watched Halloween (the one from the 70's) on Tuesday, and Sleepy Hollow last night. Both decent, but the old slasher flicks are not quite scary anymore. Sleepy Hollow is good, very Tim Burton-ey.

The Terminator used to be among my favourite movies. In comparison Die Hard has aged rather gracefully.

Sleepy Hollow is a wonderful movie. I saw it in the theater and got it on tape as soon as I could. Good times. Did you recognize the actor playing Doctor Lancaster?:p

I finally got a chance to see Cross of Iron. Impressive, especially if you like Sam Peckinpah movies and James Coburn. The cast also features David Warner who did Irenicus for BG2 and Morpheus for Fallout. :)

Die hard is probably one of the top 3 action movies of all time, particularly for it's graceful aging.

Ah yes, I did recognize Lancaster... Too bad not everything went exactly as he had foreseen it.

Sleepy Hollow was great, heh. But I prefer the HBO "toned down" version. Some of the beheading scenes in the original film were too exaggerated and HBO's edited version left those parts to the imagination of viewer... which IMO actually made the film a lot scarier.

I don't think it was meant to be scary. :)

Well, it was a horror movie, but not a scary movie, definitely. Tim Burton tries to be too stylish and quirky to be scary.

Doesn't he always? But at least he didn't put rubber nipples on the Bat suit. :D

When that is said, I really like Sleepy Hollow.

Just saw Bulletproof Monk again. Still entertaining.

Saw TRAITOR last night. Stars Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce. It's about an Muslim betraying Muslim terrorist. Not an action packed film but certainly a thrilling one. Nice twist (or rather tactic) in the end too.

I liked that Twist as well. Also another Die Hard, Terminator2 and Sleepy Hollow fan here, heh.

Most recent movies I saw were Nothing but the Truth with Kate Beckinsale which had an EXTREMELY annoying ending revelation and Exiled, a Chinese movie about friendship. I didn't particularly like the story-telling style but it was pretty good. Oh, and tried watching Mystery Men again, not too bad but I was tired and fell asleep.

Aw, I was hoping it was going to be good - I'm in love with Jennifer Garner, and Ricky Gervais is usually pretty damn funny. Is it worth seeing at all?

Watched Ringu... not very scary, except for the last time the video is seen, which is creepy as balls.

A Swedish film, Let The Right One In, darn good vampire-human love story. None of those Twilight kind of over-dramatize with Hollywood written all over. But don't get me wrong, I think Twilight:New Moon was ok. I read this was really popular in Sweden and some European countries. And that an English language remake was already hacked out before it got to the theaters.

Funny. Same here. Love that movie.

I saw Blessed too. While the actors was doing a good job, the story was not original. A mix between Rosemary's Baby, The Omen and Godsend, I think.

But a little bit scary nonetheless.

Finally saw Capitalism: A Love Story. I think it could have done more to spell out regulated capitalism as an option but it also served to point out several things (a few of which haven't gotten much media coverage) that are very much worth discussing. Glad I watched it.

Can update with a more entertainment focused movie later.

I saw Watchmen last week-end. I thought it was good, only I hadn't seen on the DVD box that it was 3 hours long. I had a lot of work to do so it put me way behind in my schedule... :(

Just projected State of Play... it started off really well and had some very clever dialogue, but it lost its pacing and by the end I wasn't too into it... 6/10.

Just watched Tetsuo... the single most effed up, disturbing movie I have seen. Weirdest hour of my life.

Pyscho, on the other hand, (which I watched yesterday) was decent. Highly overrated though.

    Saw The Butterfly Effect yesterday.

Even though it is with Ashton Kutcher, I found it very watchable.

    A surprising end also.
