    Well it has been over 24 hours and we haven't had a reply to the hint request, so i'm invoking the IJ.

    This scene has the principal walking into a room of detention victims. He then gets into a verbal fight with one of the boys in for detention.

    Hmm, Breakfast Club was my first though too.

    Amusingly the next two films that came to my mind were Sky High and Pump Up the Volume but the male principal rules both of them out.

    Indeed they do. Well, i'm sure if you rack your brain enough. You might not actually have seen it (hopefully) but this scene does feature in the film's trailer.
