[IMG] I think Slappy has about covered this topic as well as anyone could. Sir Bel does get the prize for short answer in my book though.

I think those who do committe acts of violence are unstable to begin with. Gaming did not make them that way. I've been playing RPG near on 20 years and I don't think it has has the slightest negitive affect on my life. I know many gamer who are totally 'normal' member of soceity. The 'unstalbe' folk who I have seen gaming, as I said above, are unstable to begin with. It is their issue not gaming. I agree with Slappy that the media has picked out gaming as a easy target. An activity of the few. An unknown to many - unknowns make people scared. It is easy to target the 'different' and 'minority' group. HOw is gaming any worse than acting or movies. Actors are not evil are they? How many people have ever gotten hurt at a gaming session. It's not real - as movie are not real either. Are the actors who kill in movies going to do it in real life? Or like gamer is the seperation between the imagined and reality a clear line. For anyone where the line is not real it's not gaming it's a mental problem.

[IMG] pheew! You guys like long don't you. :) For me it is still pretty obvious.

Fiction doesn't foster evil, it tricks good. The Moral is pretty obvious too. Don't let your kids play if they can't comprehend.
