    Not even close to Doctor Who, Red Dwarf has had an on and off again existence over a fairly long period ot time but I think there have only been somewhere in the ballpark of 50-60 episodes.

    Yea, Red Dwarf's only 6 eps per season, which is pretty insignificant compared to most other SF series.

    Well, I thought we were talking about longevity, not quantity of episodes pumped out.

    I watched Enterprise on the weekend. I think the concept is fantastic but for some reason none of the episodes I have seen have been the least bit interesting. Something is lacking in the writing or the characters, I'm not sure what.

    Harbourboy, well, giving Red Dwarf any prizes for longevity doesn't exactly seem fair when its entire run consists of barely the amount of eps enough to fill 2 seasons of pretty much all other SF shows, combined with the fact that all of them run for less than half an hour.

    And anyway, answering the main question, the Weekly World News is keeping aliens around.They had an article about Hilary Clinton having an affair with an alien...

    Gah! I'd forgotten about this thread...as I originally posted it in the AoDA...and now it's been hijacked by two of the admins! :eek:

    I was hoping for some actual alien controversy, but now it's a heated debate over SG-1, ST, and B5. :doh:

    Oh, and for the record, I've liked Stargate ever since the original movie came out, and have liked the show, SG-1, since it began...although, this new SG-Atlantis, is a load of crap. I've watched about 3 episodes of it, and I can't bear it any longer. There were times where I thought that the acting of all the SG-1 crew was fairly bad, but the cast of SG-Atlantis is horrible...even for a SiFi show! :eek:

    And now look what you've done Tal, you've sucked me in to it too! :bang:

    :yot: So even though it is HIGHLY off the original topic...let me just set the record straight.

    SG - The Movie = Good
    SG-1 - The series = Good
    SG-Atlantis = Crap
    Star Trek - all seasons, movies, and anything related to it = Crap
    Star Wars - The original 3 = Good
    Star Wars - The new 3 = Crap
    Babylon 5 - Never got to watch it.
    Thy X-Files - Almost all seasons = Good (But they should have chosen a better looking actress to play Scully)
