Well, that's because things like liches, demons (and may as well add vampires too) are always immune to unenchanted weapons. So when they cast something that makes them immune to magic weapons, they are effectively immune to all weapons. It's not like PFMW also grants immunities against unenchanted weapons, it's that they are innately immune to unenchanted weapons.

Your PC can do the exact same thing as well. If you take the good path during the hell trials, you will become immune to weapons of +1 enchantement or less. Therefore, if you cast PFMW on yourself, you're essentially immune to all weapons.

The difference is things like human mages, which are not immune to unenchanted weapons as an innate ability, can be struck with normal weapons after casting PFMW on themselves.

    I was aware of that.

Sorry if the wording was clumsy, I thought it was self-evident.

The point I was making is that not only is he invulnerbale but as Breach does not work, there is nothing you can do as a fighter-type other than swing away aimlessly for a bit! :(

Of course activating sunray from the daystar sword is generally done at around this point. But you still have a few rounds where your combat Johnnies are basically redundent.
