Yay! It's finally the weekend!

Sunday's weather is going to be ridiculously cold and wet for June (H63°/L49°), but Monday thru Wednesday is going to be awesome!
Bring on the heat! I can't wait for our first 90° day...that's about 32°C for you metric types.

Speaking of heat and the impending 105° weather that's in store for mid July to early September...I scheduled my parents to have a free HVAC inspection and quotes for a new system. Now that I'm living back at home, I want multi-zone heating/cooling, a humidifier/dehumidifier, HEPA and UV filters...but most of all: the ability to actually heat/cool the entire house! That's something that hasn't happened since my dad built my brother's room in the basement. :nolike: I've offered to shell out a few hundred dollars each month if they get a system with the features that I require. :money:

I get the feeling that any flying, swimming, crawling and running fauna that couldn't reach terminal velocity in time did, at one point or another, end up in a toxicology lab test. :mommy:

Ability to breathe must have been the selection factor.

EDIT: Circus is leaving town. :(

Ashley's watching Pepper Pig. Never watched it before. I think it may have hypnotic qualities because he's never been so quiet!

F'N tired. I started myself a coffee card (giving a free one every 4 coffees) this morning at work, and I took my free one before leaving. Took me five coffees to get through the day. 100% chances of very strong fog for later tonight, too.

Wait, isn't it you who posts stuff about your husband's (along with other friends and family) racing exploits...or blunders? I'm not implying anything...I'm just sayin'. :p

In other news, I finally found the two NetFlix DVDs I've had since January! They were haphazardly tossed into a random box that ended up in my storage unit. I wasn't even looking for them today...I went to go get my cat5 cable crimper, and I just so happened to unearth the DVDs. I was so happy with my discovery, that I treated myself to a DQ Blizzard.
    It was delicious. :yum:

Oh. My. God. More to the couch story.

I had chosen my couch at the stores the first week of march. They kept pushing back the delivery date. They finally called me Monday and said my order had arrived. All I had to do was to choose a delivery date (the 19th) and pay. So I went in Wednesday and paid half (my debit card has a limit to how much I can spend in a day). I went Saturday to pay the rest. That is when the finance girl tells me the couch has been discontinued by the manifacturer and I had to either pick out a new couch or they give me my money back... WTF??? I had been waiting for more than three months and they JUST found out it has been discontinued?? and AFTER they call me to say they had received the order?? What a bunch of a**holes! I wanted to choose a new couch so the girl calls a store guy and he actually said "Saturdays are really busy. Can you come back on Monday". LOL! So after I said "screw you I'm choosing it now", I picked one out, they have it in stock in the store, so the delivery date of next Saturday is still good... Hope I'll really get it...

Tri....you just shot yourself in the foot again. When they offered to give you your money back, you should have taken it and ran to their competitor's shop to get a new couch. By sticking with the same place, you're just adding insult to injury. :nolike:

Yeah, I know. But, I get a free 32'' flatscreen tv with my order... It's the ONLY reason I don't walk. Believe me, I wanted to...!

Wow. That's a sorry "salesman" they have there. As a sales pro, that was painful just to read. :(

Got an interview today. It's for volunteer work at the local hospital on behalf of the RNID (Royal National Institute for the Deaf). I'm so nervous. It'll be the first time in over 3 years that I've worked.
    Ashley's 3 tomorrow!

My hair is finally long enough to tie it properly. Not a moment too soon.

I hate when I'm snappish enough to project it to unrelated areas of life and get even more upset in turn. It never, ever helps.

Went mountain biking yesterday out to the site where they filmed the exterior shots for MASH (it's in Malibu Creek State Park). Very cool.

Well I got the job! It's volunteer work so it's not officially a job but there's going to be a lot of work by the sounds of it. There's nobody in this area that works for the RNID at the minute so I'm going to be pretty busy. Got to do information stands at the local hospital, check that places I go to have a working hearing aid loop installed, do talks to raise deaf awareness and (if I want) fundraising.

It's going to be hard work but fun :)
