THIEF WARRENS
Jellies, Oozes and Slimes
I descend into the Thief Warrens, and a woman named Viletta Stiletto encourages me to continue my pursuit of Sarevok.
I follow the tunnel, which is straightforward as there is as of yet no deviations. I fight Green Slimes, Ochre Jellies, Mustard Jellies, and Grey Oozes, along the way. This should by now be a matter of routine physical combat.
Doom Guards
I now travel south. The tunnel heads east a long ways. There are a pair of Doom Guards ahead, but tried and true methods work all the same. Avastrian inches along slowly, and leads one of them back to the rest of the party. Imoen zaps it with a Wand of Paralyzation. The party then takes care of the other Doom Guard.
Skeleton Warriors
Now I continue on eastwards, and then curl a little west. Imoen gulps down a Potion of Perception, as there will be a LOT of traps from this point onwards.
Down the tunnel leading west will be a pair of Skeleton Warriors. This can be dangerous, as they'll fire arrows at a distance, but there's a series of dangerous traps leading up to them. Imoen shows a reliable method for taking the sting out of this. She simply gulps a Potion of Invisibility, and then disarms the traps without being detected. I then have Yeslick, loaded with missile-proof items, step ahead and allow the Skeleton Warriors to expend all of their ammunition. Yeslick then leads them back to the rest of the party, where Jaheira preps the party with a Defensive Harmony. The party then brings them down.
The party continues to explore the central portions of the maze, with Imoen disarming traps along the way. I kill off two more Skeleton Warriors and another Doom Guard.
Invisible Stalkers
Now I make my way through the tunnels of the north section. Imoen of course carefully searches for and disarms traps. There are a few Invisible Stalkers around, but they're few in number and easily killed.
Winski Perorate
The party travels through the tunnels so that they reach the east-west tunnel on the northern edge of the warrens. They then head towards the northwest corner. Avastrian speaks at some length with Winski Perorate concerning Sarevok's intentions and location.
The entrance to the Undercity is in view.
