Guide to Outer Curst
When you first arrive from Ravel's Maze, you will find yourself at 1.
At 2 you will find the entrance to the Traitor's Gate Tavern.
You will initially find Lady Roberta at 3, later she wanders around in the area. She can give you a bit of information about Curst. If you ask about the Deva, she will refer you to the administration office (forget this; you can't get in). More importantly, she is mad at her husband, Carl Parfidor, because he is always with harlots instead of with her. She will reveal to you that she is plotting to murder her husband. You can either offer to help her, or turn her in to the police by telling one of the Curst Guards. Betraying Roberta to the guards doesn't give you any experience.
If you wish to help Roberta, seek out the harlot Kiri in Inner Curst. Ask her if she is would be willing to kill someone, take her offer back to Roberta, and then take Roberta's acceptance back to Kiri. Finally, report back to Roberta for 2,000 XP and 500 copper pieces.
At 4 you will find the town dump and Kyse, the caretaker. Kyse can tell you that the dump has a secret entrance to Curst Underground. The entrance is at map coordinates X=1540,Y=2200; right in the middle of the dump, and provides a shortcut to the Underground. But you don't want to take this path; you should get the Key quests in the Traitor's Gate Tavern.
You need to save Kyse from some thugs in connection with the third Key quest. After you have saved him, Kyse will sell healing.
The entrance to the Blacksmith is at 5.
The container at 6 holds:
You can enter the house at 7 and burgle the locked container for at Silver-Headed Hammer.
Enter the Grain Silo at 8. The Silo is a free resting place.
There are two Curst Guards beating up a Curst Citizen at 9. You can't help the citizen; in fact if you attack the guards he will come to their aid. The loose straw behind them conceals:
The entrance to Inner Curst is at 10.
The container near the lamppost at 11 holds 213 copper pieces.
Crumplepunch is the town's blacksmith.

Crumplepunch at 2 is the local blacksmith. He is one of the two men you need to speak to in connection with the second Key quest; the other is his brother Kester in the Apothecary in Inner Curst.
Crumplepunch sells some quite good weapons:
If you side with him in Kitla's quest or choose to split the inheritance equally between him and Kester, Crumplepunch will offer you a discount on his inventory. If you give the inheritance to Kester, Crumplepunch raises his prices.
You can loot the chest at 3 for:
Watch out! If Crumplepunch notices you rifling his chest he will attack you!
The Grain Silo is a free resting place. You will also come here for Dona Quisho's quest to free her fiend.

The pentagram at 3 fills you with a sense of foreboding. When you get the fifth Key quest from Dona Quisho in the Traitor's Gate Tavern, you have to come here and examine Dona Quisho's scroll to summon Agril-Shanak. You can strike a deal with him to get the axe Heartgrinder, one of the best axes in the game. If you don't need a battle axe, you can sell it for more than 7,000 copper pieces.
