The Gibberlings Three

IWDification is a mod to bring some of the elements of Icewind Dale into the Baldur's Gate series of games. A lot of this project is based upon the work of the IWD-in-BG2 conversion project, which later formed the backbone of IWDEE. The mod adds various elements such as selectable bard songs, two-handed axes, and over 70 new spells into your BG2, Tutu, BGT, BGEE, BG2EE, or EET game.

Version 8 adds a new component to Increase Spear Damage and a new Polish translation from Patricida, as well as some bug fixes from the previous version.

Near Infinity v2.4-20250611

Near Infinity is a resource browser and editor for Infinity Engine games, such as Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. It is written in Java and available for Windows, macOS and Linux.

This release provides several new features and bugfixes, such as new filters for the bam converter as well as various improvements to the area viewer, worldmap viewer and mass exporter.

Near Infinity is available as a platform-independent Java JAR file, Windows installer and macOS PKG installer, as well as a Flatpak application from Flathub for Linux.

BG Romantic Encounters

bg1re, the Baldur's Gate version of the popular Romantic Encounters mod, adding several encounters and quests all over the game, aims at populating the game with romantic encounters, intense dialogues, unexpected private dinners, romantic traces of long lost times, and real quests that all deal with true love, fulfilled or unfulfilled.

Version 14 comes with some bugfixes.

Changelog v14:

-"Dinner with Thalantyr": Thalantyr should take the knights-errand if he offers to make a magic item out of the bishop piece.
-Dinner dialogue didn't check for timer.
-"Mikala": fixed a typo that also lead to translation error (English, Italian).
-"Eltan's Spare Minute": for BGT, BG:EE, and EET; reply options will patched directly to DELTAN2.dlg state 2 (instead of working with an INTERJECTION), this is better for compatibility with other mods that want to add reply options, too.
-Melicamp's dialogue should not assume that they kissed at first meeting.
-"Necromancer's Trouble": Trevor should have a dialogue before talking to Mrs. Sutherland; quest charactrs whould spawn in NBG (changed patching of scripts to TOP).

  • The component that removes backstab immunity from everyone will now seek out all items that do this, except player-usable items, instead of manually patching known items that do this, which hopefully will make it more robust against different mod setups

Changelog is too long, but it contains a bunch of important fixes for some components, as well as some pre-fixes my mod will do to ensure a consistent behavior in the game, along with other misc fixes.

See the full changelog at the download link. Highlights

  • The mod will automatically fix sexless and genderless creatures that are set to male or female, such that they are set to 'niether' such that effects that specifically target gender do it in a manner that makes more sense. Examples of this are demons, celestials, mind flayers, golems, among others.
  • Description patching for daggers now works better in dagger boost component
  • Fixed the buckler part of the shield component not working at all like it should. The finesse component no longer manages this for thieves, it's now all part of the shield component.
  • Finesse now works fine since it was broken several versions ago mysteriously, making it work only once.
  • Wand rebalance will now affect Imoen's wand of magic missiles
  • Buckler parry is generally more powerful, and bards have higher chances to parry compared to other classes that are not thieves
  • Restoration component now optionally modified Greater Restoration so it's significantly more powerful, healing the whole party, with various drawbacks to add balance

BG1 Unfinished Business ("BG1UB") is a mod designed to restore many of the cut items, quests, and encounters from the original Baldur's Gate game's final release, as well as try to tie up some of the "loose ends." As usual, BG1UB should be compatible with most other WeiDU-based mods, and should be installed after either conversion. BG1UB is compatible with Baldur's Gate 1 (with or without Tales of the Sword Coast), Tutu, BGT, and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.

v17 comes with UTF8 tra files, Re-applied EE compatibility fix, LABEL and other improvements!

Changelog:

  • Re-applied EE compatibility fix by Jastey (link) to the correct file.
  • Converted the mod to use UTF-8 encoding for translation files.
  • Added DESIGNATED and LABEL entries for each component.
  • Cosmetic and style updates to the German translation.
  • Moved French prompts into a separate file.
  • Updated PI metadata.
  • Renamed setup-bg1ub.tp2 to bg1ub.tp2.

WM: Arszyk's Wonderful Decay (IWDEE) is now available

Arszyk's Wonderful Decay is a new IWDEE mod that includes a new companion (neutral evil fighter/druid trapped in the ice cave, and which you may release from his cold prison) and a small Chapter 5 quest, which takes you back to the Vale of Shadows (may be completed without the new companion).

Mod forum

  • Fixed the code for Curse which could fail to target the right spell in BG depending on what spell packs are installed
  • My Bless/Curse component will fix in passing the vanilla bug with Curse causing enemies to get +10 morale bonus, instead of a -1 morale decrement. This is likely to be fixed by the third beta of the EE Fixpack. Regardless of the presence or absence thereof, my component will fix it.
  • Improved the overall efficiency of the mod installation by removing many runtime checks during each component installation, and performing as many as feasible only once right at the beginning of the mod's installation, as well as moving computationally expensive checks in blocks that parse through an arbitrary number of items outside of the block whenever possible.
  • Other misc performance improvements
  • Added some README entries for new components in previous version that I forgot to add.
  • Added credits for dark0dave and a mention of The Artisan
  • Fixed a code error caused by a past refactoring
  • Other code quality changes
  • Added a check for existence of Asp's Nest in BGEE, since it may be the case that SoD introduced it.
  • Fixed some checks for ZSTweaks component existence that weren't taking into account the component merging in recent versions (sorry)
  • Merged all the major, non-controversial fixes this mod does so it executes only once, and by default, even if the relevant component is not executed
  • Fixed warhammer dice size tweak not affecting the damage for critical hits that the voidweapon component adds

ZS_Shadowdancer updates to 1.1.8

This update brings a variety of fixes (some more important than others), and some modifications. The changelog is long, so highlights:

  • Some shadow conjurations' spell names no longer appear in the console twice when cast
  • Cooldowns in the shade's spells are now for real not dispellable. Additionally, casting Beshadow Body no longer gives you 1000 XP after the cooldown is over. I'm still chuckling over that one.
  • Rewrite of some descriptions, attempting cleaner descriptions.
  • Fade (shade spell) is now a spell selection type of casting and they will all default to 3 castings. This is part of an ongoing effort to clean up the abilities of all shades, since I still find it a bit all over the place.
  • Attacking after a Shadowstep now also cancels out the "automatic save success" feature, and leaves the Shadowdancer with a +6 saving throw instead. They also get now a +6 AC bonus. This is to encourage tactical thinking, since performing a successful melee/ranged attack will increase the exposure of the character.
  • The Shadowdancer is now immune to <PRO_HISHER> own Shadow Fireball spells. Shadowborn creatures, shadow dragons, and targets protected by Shadow Evade or Shadow Form will be immune too.
  • Added a lot of console log feedback on level up, which will inform the player about what they've gained in terms of passive or active abilities.
  • Future plans: switching the Evasion HLAs since I think there's too much overlap. Don't know with that. If you got any ideas, lay 'em on me.
