FISHING VILLAGE
Ajantis
I journey northwards to the Fishing Village, killing Kobolds along the way. I then show where Ajantis can be found for any of you who may be interested. I prefer Khalid though.
Farmer Brun's Son
Now I begin to travel towards the north and east. I soon run into a new kind of monster, Ankhegs. Ankhegs have an acid spit attack that the game engine treats as a missile weapons. They can also be pretty dangerous with their bite attacks. The method is pretty standard though. Khalid, having the best armor class against missile weapons, takes the lead in front to absorb the initial spit attacks, thus allowing the rest of the party to close in safely and then kill them.
I continue on and then find Farmer Brun, who's distressed over his missing son.
I then head due west and enter the large pit in the ground. There will be plenty of Ankhegs here, which also means plenty of xp to be had provided you can handle things. Once in a while party members get hit. I can rest, although one thing to keep in mind is that the odds are better than average that my sleep will get interrupted by another Ankheg. I don't show it in this video, but I don't mind killing another Ankheg after getting woken up as long as I can do it without taking any additional damage and without bringing any other Ankhegs into view.
Towards the northeast corner of the underground caverns, I find some gold, potions, gems, as well as:
I then bring the body back to Farmer Brun for an xp reward. I get another xp reward and a +1 to reputation for giving Farmer Brun 100gp, but in a way that won't hurt his pride.
Gerde
I travel north and east along the road and eventually run into a Ranger named Gerde. She's offering a bounty on the culling of 10 Ankhegs, and only 10 so as to avoid offending her conservationist tendencies. I've already killed at least 10, so I'm eligible for the bounty, sort of ... Well, except I have to kill at least one more after the initial conversation to get 75gp. Oh and if you've killed more than 10, she won't notice. Keep in mind she travels up and down the road, so you may have to do quite a bit of searching.
I conclude the video by bumping the north edge to make the next area on the world map accessible.
Sonner
Now I travel to the west edge of the area. A trio of fishermen, with Sonner being their spokesman, want me to eliminate a Priestess of Umberlee who is preventing them from fishing.
This is part of a quest that carries over to Wyrm's Crossing, which is my next destination, albeit briefly.
Tenya
Now I journey over to the Wyrm's Crossing Bridge, and then towards the north end across from the city itself. Waiting outside the house is the Priestess of Umberlee, a child of a girl named Tenya. I beat her into submission, whereupon she explains her side of the story. It turns out there aren't any good guys in this scenario. Who you side with is ultimately up to you, but it is ultimately more beneficial to side with Tenya.
So I head back to the Fishing Village and force Sonner to give up the Elemental Bowl. I also kill the fishermen without any reputation loss, and pocket Sonner's Flail +1.
I then return to Tenya and get a 2,500xp reward, and a promise for repayment later on.
Now it's on to the Larswood for me.
