RETURN TO BEREGOST

Officer Vai

Now I briefly return to Beregost. I head towards the east side of the town. First, Elminster arrives with more vague advice. Then a little girl tells me that somebody in the Jovial Juggler wants to see me.

That somebody is Officer Vai, who's willing to offer more gold than other merchants for Bandit Scalps.

After that I go to Taerom's Smithy. I get two items:

Tranzig

Now I enter Feldepost's Inn and then head upstairs. The room in the southwest corner is where I find the Mage named Tranzig. He starts off with a few protections in place but his spells aren't especially dangerous. It becomes a matter of wearing him down and killing him.

I don't show it in the video, but I sell my extra potions to Feldepost. I now have enough gold for another acquisition. I head back to Taerom's Smithy and purchase the Crossbow of Speed (+1 Light Crossbow, +1 attack each round). This will be Imoen's missile weapon for the rest of the game once she recovers use of her Thief levels.

Now I head for the Fishing Village.
