FORT DRAKON

Exterior

I then travel to Fort Drakon, whereupon I have to eliminate the Darkspawn forces standing guard just outside the tower. The first priorities are the two groups of archers standing behind barricades on either side. They're easily dealt with by missile fire from Leliana and the odd Fireball from Wynne.

There will also be a couple of Dragon Thralls that will drop down from the sky. I edge forward to get them to come to me. This way I can deal with them piecemeal.

The main force will be up the stairs ahead. They're easily blown away by a Storm of the Century from Aldarion. That leaves only the two Hurlock Emissaries. Leliana trains her bow on them. She runs into trouble when one of the Emissaries zaps her with a Crushing Prison. Alistair shows how useful Templar abilities can be in some situations when he uses his Cleanse Aura ability (like Keldorn's Dispel Magic from Baldur's Gate 2) to get rid of the Crushing Prison. This allows Leliana to recover by using a Health Poultice. It's only a matter of time before each Emissary gets worn down.

Genlock Conjurer

Once inside, I move north. I then get attacked by a Genlock Conjurer and several Shades. I have to take out the Shades first, as the Genlock Conjurer cannot be killed until the Shades are gone. Wynne keeps a close eye on the Conjurer. When the Conjurer starts to cast a high-level spell, as indicated by a time meter running over him, she knocks him off his feet with a Stone Fist. He becomes easy to kill once the Shades are gone, especially after the Blight Wolf gets him with an Overwhelm.

Genlock Shapechanger

Further south will be a Genlock Shapechanger, a Hurlock Emissary, and a LOT of undead corpses waiting for me. I simply have a single character open the door leading to them and retreat. The recipe of crowd control + Storm of the Century + Inferno-based Grease Fire suffices to blow them away outright. I then spend the rest of the video looking for any Health Poultices and such that I can use.

Sandal

I go towards the southeast corner. I find Sandal, who presents a final opportunity to buy any useful wares or to change any rune configurations on my weapons. I buy up any Health Poultices and Lyrium Potions that I can. I also have Alistair switch out the Grandmaster Cold Iron Rune from his Keening Blade for a Grandmaster Flame Rune that I found along the way. There will not be any more undead from this point onwards, only more Darkspawn.

The stairs to the next level of Fort Drakon are within immediate view.

Darkspawn Alphas

I now begin to make my way through the second level of Fort Drakon. I end up fighting a pair of Hurlock Alphas and a Genlock Alpha along the way. They're easy enough to overwhelm in straight melee combat by now.

Genlock Master Assassin

I continue towards the northeast of the second level. I step through a door that faces east. There will be another door just to my right. On the other side of that door will be a Genlock Master Assassin and several Genlock Assassin Acolytes. They will also have several Leghold traps around them. I simply put some distance between myself and the door. I then have Alistair open the door, and lead the Genlocks away from the Leghold Traps. This allows the party to overwhelm the Genlocks in straight physical combat. Leliana can then disarm the traps at leisure afterwards.

Genlock Archers

The room to the east will have a lot of Genlock Archers. Alistair opens the door to present himself as the initial target. Wynne then simply blows them away with spells like Inferno and Fireball.

Hurlock Emissary and Ogres

I go through a door to the south. There will be a Hurlock Emissary at the far end of the room, and an Ogre to each side. The solution is pretty simple for me. Aldarion zaps the Emissary with a Crushing Prison, which buys time for Aldarion, Alistair, and the Blight Wolf to close in and finish off the Emissary. It's a matter of wearing down the Ogres one at a time after that.

There will be several chests each on the west and east sides of the room. This provides the party with an opportunity to stock up on high-grade Health Poultices and Lyrium Potions.

It is now time for the End.
