SHALE
Shale Awakens
Now it is time to awaken Shale and have her join my party. She likes gemstones as gifts, so I give her the Remarkable Malachite and the Remarkable Greenstone. I also equip her with a couple of crystals I found along the way, and then set her script.
The Veshialle
The video starts with Shale squashing a chicken on her way out of Honnleath.
I then bring Morrigan along to the Circle Tower, and have her equip the Cord of Shattered Dreams. I need Morrigan's help to raise more gold (which I don't show in the video).
I then purchase a battleaxe called The Veshialle (+2 Strength, +5% critical chance, +2 stamina regeneration in combat, +10% critical damage, +2 nature damage). Leliana raising her Strength to 27, then wearing the Helm of Honnleath and the Harvest Festival Ring, allows her to equip one of the most powerful / damaging weapons in the game. I then set the axe with three runes.
A warrior like Alistair or Aldarion may seem like a more natural candidate to wield The Veshialle. But I have different weapons in mind for those characters. And yet the Veshialle is itself such a great weapon that I can't accept not incorporating it into my set up. And furthermore, it is my considered opinion that The Veshialle and the Rose's Thorn together are the best dual-wielding combination for a Rogue. The Veshialle provides raw damage, stamina regeneration, and a greater chance of landing critical hits. The Rose's Thorn will also provide a greater chance of critical hits, +30% bonus damage on a critical hit, and a bonus to Dexterity.
My next destination is the Brecilian Forest.
